IGA is an integral part of Port A!! They have so much to offer, and great quality stuff. Port A would be lost without IGA! Thank you IGA for the wonderful job y'all do and have done for years!

Good selection of food; helpful staff - close to the beach (can walk, but better to drive)...March, 2023 VisitFor spring break we visited Corpus Christi, to enjoy a bit of sun and relaxation, and we enjoyed the trip.We had a sunny, cloudless sky the first afternoon, then two days of clouds. Then a mostly sunny day at the beach. We were slow getting up, so we got to the beach at lunchtime, and we wanted to dine on the sand. IGA is the grocery store on Port Aransas, on Mustang Island. The store was quite busy, as it has a large selection of food and drinks. We got a few items and quickly checked out and then enjoyed them watching the breaking waves, on a windy red flag day.Big selection of food and drinks, some ready-to-eat.Friendly staff.Thank you, IGA!

This is a great spot to pick up any incidental items that you may need while on the island. It is located in a convenient location and sure beats us driving over the water over the water and over the water to get to civilization. Clean market with plenty of offerings. Good produce and dairy selections, Great Carrot cake for dessert and of course a great Blue Bell Ice cream selection!! Highly urge you to drop by for any of your cooking needs.

What is interesting about this IGA is that it looks insignificant on the outside, but in reality it is quite large within. The produce area is relatively small, but very well maintained. The meat selection is also small, but again the selection is good and well-maintained, which seems to be a theme that runs throughout the store. They have a small deli with sliced meats and hot foods, including fried chicken. They do have a bread aisle, but there are few bread items made from scratch for sale here. One thing that was very noticeable is that this store has a very large wine selection, comparable to that of a good sized HEB and it is all over the store. They have 11 cold doors dedicated towards beer and one of those doors does have some craft beer. A larger selection of craft beer is available on the adjacent warm shelf. This is probably the best spot on the island to get your groceries from at a reasonable island price. Plenty of pictures included to give you a better idea.

I stopped in for some picnic supplies and travel food. Store is clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and prices were about what I would expect at any full service grocer, Also the staff were all friendly and any I ask for help went above and beyond.

Perfect little grocery shop. Had everything we needed and the staff was very friendly. Prices are a little high but to be expected on the island.

We didn't realize this was the only grocery stores in Port A, but it provided everything we needed! It also came in handy when we needed a beach pass as well. Some of the food was overpriced but when you're the only grocery store in the vicinity, I get it! Very nice staff as well.

Rude customer service dumb policy. I went to get groceries and WINE and because I had my niece with me and she wasn't my child I couldn't buy it? Make it make sense it does not! There was no sign up but they said it was their policy cashier had asked if she was my daughter and no she's not I thought she was just being nice and then she started with I can't buy it because she's not mine she is a minor she is 16 years old. Spent 100+ on food and couldn't buy my wine ridiculous! What store policy even does that?

We have been visiting Port Aransas and this IGA since I was a child-over 40 years. I've always appreciated the store and never had an issue until yesterday. I'm nearly 50 years old now and I went to the store with my 16 year old daughter and her friend. We got the usual groceries and a 6 pack of beer. I had an older female cashier and didn't catch her name. She asked if the girls were my daughters and their ages. I thought she was just being friendly, then her tone became very rude and she said she couldn't sell me the beer because the girls were minors! What? Obviously the beer was for me! I asked to speak to the manager who also confirmed that I couldn't buy alcohol-since my daughter's friend was also a minor. She said it was a TABC rule. Since when? Has anyone heard of this rule in Texas? The worst part was how rude they were about it, when it would have been more appropriate to apologize for the inconvenience. I have never experienced such rude and disrespectful customer service at a grocery store, and especially over some apparently made up rule. Left the store with no beer. Will make a point of buying groceries & alcohol from H‑E‑B only next time, where they value their customers.

Everything you need. Prices are reasonable. As for the people the complaining here, the workers are doing the best as they can dealing the worst customers I have seen. So A plus for store and works. D minus for the maskless drunks.

The restroom was atrocious. I feel bad for the employees that have to use it and for other customers who have no choice. We had to use it because my daughter is young and can't hold it too long. It looks like it hadn't been cleaned for a long time which is surprising since we are coming out of a pandemic. They obviously aren't concerned with germs and I fear the rest of the store may follow suit. I am sure there are a ton of health code violations. They should be ashamed of themselves.

If you want to catch covid this is the place to go. The old woman checking out our groceries wasn't wearing a mask and licked her fingers everyone she scare an item. How detached from reality do you have to be to consistently lick everything. Gross negligence.

I went to buy groceries and needed cash back. The kid at the checkout stand said he had no cash to give back. I asked him if he could get it from another cashier or his manager and he flat out refused. There were people in line so I paid and left.

The shop has a very good range of foods, both processed and at the deli. The assortment of wines was great, the produce section have a wide range of fruits and vegetables. The service was also great our clerk Marcus was polite, funny and ever so helpful. He wrapped up the whole experience and we left with a smile and a lot of great food for our mini vaca!!!!
