Had to take the day off from work to be home for my new zero turn mower. I missed out 10 hours of OT pay to wait for a mower that never came. No phone call to explain why they didn't come. Then they just rescheduled without asking if I would home, which I wasn't home on the day they rescheduled. I got passed around to four different people when I called customer care. I tried to cancel my order just because of the I considerate way I had been treated. I spent another hour today between the store and on the phone trying to get a refund. As yet, no one has helped me, canceled my order, or gotten me a refund. This is very disappointing and shameful. I have been a Lowe's customer for many years and spent a great deal of money there. I have never been treated so disrespectfully as with this incident.

Port Arthur Tx store. Today wanted a gallon of exterior paint was willing to pay the $65. The associate report that they don't have that base. Well, actually they DO have it on a pallet in the back. They've had it since JANUARY, but there's no one to unload it. This store is HORRIBLY managed. Guess I'll have to drive another 20 miles to a better managed store.

Unorganized as hell. The workers work hard but this place is very difficult to get what you need unless you are picking up something off the shelf.

This store has no direction. Stood in the bathroom section waiting for 30 min after asking for some help and they called for someone to come help and no one did. This store is terrible with its customers. Go elsewhere when shopping for home items. They don't care at all.

Worst place to buy appliances. Bought washer and dryer. Well in 4 days the washer starts making a loud noise. Now they giving me the runaround I can’t exchange and that I have to call Maytag so they can come and fix it. Mind you I bought this washer 9 days ago.

I love how easy it is to find what you're looking for with their app.

The Lowe’s in Port Arthur at 8383 Memorial Blvd is a letdown, especially when you stack it against the Home Depot in Orange, TX. The shelves here are perpetually understocked—good luck finding what you need without wandering aimlessly or leaving empty-handed. Basic items like screws, paint, or even common tools are often missing, making it a frustrating trip every time. It’s not just the inventory; getting help is like pulling teeth. Staff are either nowhere to be found or seem uninterested in assisting, leaving you to fend for yourself in a disorganized maze. Compared to the Home Depot in Orange, where shelves are consistently stocked and employees are quick to lend a hand, this Lowe’s is seriously lagging. The store feels neglected—dusty aisles and half-empty displays don’t exactly scream “home improvement haven.” It’s got potential with its big space and brand name, but they’re dropping the ball on execution. Port Arthur deserves better than this half-hearted effort. If Lowe’s could step up its game with better stocking and customer service, it might actually compete with the Orange Home Depot instead of being a distant second. For now, I’d rather drive the extra miles.

Weekend Visit – Poor Customer Service and Lack of Staff Engagement
I visited your store over the weekend looking for four 27-gallon totes. The shelf space where they should’ve been was empty, and the endcap was completely bare as well. I walked through the Lawn & Garden department, where the service — which is usually pretty good — was absolutely terrible this time. nonexistent.
I’ve been a regular customer at this store for a long time and spend a significant amount of money here annually. That’s why this experience was especially frustrating. I went to the front of the store to ask for help. Customer service was tied up, so I asked the self-checkout cashier to call someone over. I came back about 20 minutes later — still nothing.
I eventually found someone at a desk in the back trying to redeem a gift card for another customer and asked them too. I waited another 30 minutes, but no one ever showed up. What made it worse — and especially frustrating — was that there were two employees sitting at the Lawn & Garden desk watching me wait. They saw me standing there needing help and did absolutely nothing.
In my experience, only one out of ten employees in this store actually earns their paycheck by working. The exception is the Pro Desk team — they’re consistently solid. The rest are either hiding, standing around, or chatting instead of helping customers or keeping the aisles stocked.
This kind of service isn’t just disappointing — it’s completely unacceptable.

Bought washer and dryer Monday. Was never told that they cannot install gas dryer anymore. Now they want me to wait until next Tuesday. Went to the store. They did nothing. I will never purchase anything from Lowe’s again and will make sure I tell everyone I know. Still don’t have washer and dryer.

Love Lowe's! From Christmas Trees in November to plants in March & everything in-between! I have a lot of projects coming up & did my first couple today. Thanks Lowe's team! Y'all are awesome. I planted some pretty plants, Hibiscus, (not shown)-thornless Blackberry bush, & a Hardy fig.
