They do NOT take care of their animals. My sister in law just went in & here is this Leopard Gecko. Stuck, YELLOW shed. Clearly this animal has been in poor condition for a while. It should NOT have taken a customer to bring this to an employees attention.
Absolutely disgusting treatment of animals. If you are going to work at a PET store you need to actually CARE.
This stores management & employees should be ashamed of themselves.

I went in their store in Pt Arthur Saturday . I bought a 55 gal tank for some gold fish that I inherited. I also bought 3 more goldfish to go with them . As I talked with the guy there about the goldfish I also talked about other fish but did not go into to telling him that I had multiple tanks at home with a variety of fish. I checked out , went back inside to look at their Oscars. He told me he could not sale me an Oscar because I didn’t have the proper tank set up . How does he actually know what I have at my home ? another customer came in as we were talking and the man asked to buy an Oscar , no questions asked he got the fish . I understand they have the right not to sale , but I feel like this was discrimination . I asked to talk to a manager , she ( not a manager name tag) proceeded to tell me the same as the guy in the back . I feel like he based his decision on my purchase . Assuming that I don’t have other tanks in my home . I did go to another pet store and bought my Oscar . This is absurd treating someone this way .

Don't bring your dogs for grooming!
Yesterday 12 10 24 I brought my little dog for grooming and she was harmed pretty bad near the ears and tail. THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONALS AND THE MANAGER WILL HANG OUT THE PHONE IF YOU CALL.
I CALLED TODAY AT 8 30 AM AND THAT WAS THE ANSWER FROM HER

DO NOT GET THE VITAL CARE MEMBERSHIP. At no point when I signed up did the employee in this store state that I had to keep this for a year. They told me the monthly price, the discount I get on products, and then I get half the cots of this membership back each month in rewards. There should be something that corporate can do to cancel this.
They never have the fish supplies I need in stock. What purpose is this membership if I am buying supplies everywhere else but Petco? Then my entire tank crashed, killing all my fish, so I don't even have fish anymore to use this membership. So I am paying $10 for nothing and can't cancel nothing.
Membership perk they sell you on:
Everyone gets free shipping over $35 so that isn't anything special with this membership. Saving 5% on just fish products isn't that big of a discount because even with a vital membership, it only applies to products purchased that are specific. Such as fish, dog, or cat. So if you have a membership for fish, you don't get 5% off dog food if you buy it. This discount essentially removes about half the sales tax. What a joke.
I did call the support number and got nowhere. I can't remove my card from my account since they need to have something to charge. They also will not remove my PayPal information from my account, as there needs to be a backup payment method. I have 6 more months of wasted membership that will cost $60, already paid $60 towards it. You also have to jump through hoops to get the monthly $5 reward and I have yet to get it in the last 6 months. Never again. I have cancelled all my auto ships and will visit PetSmart for all my pet needs.

Great fish section, but I stood over there for 20 minutes today and nobody once came over and asked if I needed something.. I was planning on buying several fish. Nobody was even at the register to ask for help.. there needs to be an assistance needed button, or someone actually working in the fish section. I honestly didn’t see 1 employee except who was grooming dogs.
