The Thap cam (special) banh mi is worth getting only. I also got the thit nuong (grilled pork)and meat ball but wasn’t a fan of it. The seasoning wasn’t tasteful and the red color dye wasn’t necessary in my opinion. Not good, unfortunately. Hopefully they can fix the recipe in those two for a better taste for customers.

This is a really nice place that has everything you need for your Asian inspired dishes. Only bad thing about this place is that there are ALWAYS BEGGARS outside that will approach you and ask for money.

One of the original spot in Port Arthur to get a Vietnamese sandwich. I remember going since I was young. Still a customer, combination or meatball sandwich are my favs! Browse around the market while waiting for your sandwich!

Since my younger days, I love the sandwich to-go place located right in this Saigon market. My only complaint is that they take cash only. This place's sandwiches cost $3. Their cafe su dua (vietnamese coffee) also cost $3. Some people don't like the fact that a drink costs the same as a sandwich but I don't. The only fact that bothers me is that THEY TAKE CASH ONLY. NO EXCEPTIONS :( The breads on the counter next to the register are from this asian bread bakery located in Chinatown Houston. It's best to get these breads right when they are imported here when they restock their items. The breads go bad after 1 or 2 days so it's best if you come here early whenever the breads come. They also get spring rolls, little snackable items, and sesame balls from Houston so they're good too. This market also has that fishy "something is about to go amuck smell" lingering here and there so if you're sensitive on smell, I wouldn't come. It's your choice. I should mention that this place is the biggest Asian/Vietnamese market around that area so if you want a variety of asian food/spices/goods, this place is the place to go!

If I had other options I would not be going here. I think it's weird that they accept credit cards for groceries but not for the sandwiches. Not everyone carries cash so it's a hassle to withdraw money out just to buy some sandwiches, not to mention annoying to have to do so. This place is small and the people working here are not exactly helpful when you ask them where things are, in fact they are even a little rude maybe even lazy or reluctant to actually have to walk to show you what you need. They ladies are nice, but there is this a young boy that I am talking about. Also it might be just me but I feel like it's too dark in there. There needs to be more light in the aisles.

This little Asian market have everything. The Asian vegi here is so fresh, feels like it was just picked from the farm. You get free s*** after making a purchase of more than $300.

Tucked away in a not-so-great neighborhood in the back of the market, I love to pick up bahn mi sandwiches made fresh for a cheap price. They have pâté, meatball, jambones, bbq and combination (I always get this one). They also sell smoothies with tapioca - honeydew, jackfruit, coffee, strawberry, green tea and a few others. Cash only and to go orders only.
