As soon as we opened the door to the room we were hit with the smell of mold/mildew. The couch was broken and had stains, the shower was gross with mold all around except the places they began to caulk over. Some sort of paint covering up damage over the AC unit. It Husbands allergies became worse overnight and better when we left the room for the day. Manager apologized but said Corpus is just a humid area and since we booked through a third party nothing she could do to compensate us when we cut our stay short. Wish I could add the pictures. I didn’t even want to put my bag on the couch or walk in the room without shoes.
Update: I was able to add photos to show just how nasty it was.

Excellent in all areas of service. Fernando at the front desk during the day was super and professional. All staff members were exceptional. I come to Portland often. This LaQuinta has my business moving forward.

WARNING!!!🚫 Do not stay here this place was so dirty…The covers had stains and pieces of hair on them, one chair had a wet looking stain on it …god only knows from what!!! Another chair was full of rust and what looked like mold.. some of the tiles on the floor were cracked which you could probably cut your feet on. I went to the front desk and requested a new room which was not that much better, but we had no choice due to the fact we were running late for a family wedding we came in town for, we had no other option.. as soon as the sun came up the next morning we took off.. never again with LaQuinta.

The walls and ceiling are paper thin....I only slept 2 hours thanks to people walking in the room above me like a stampede the entire night. It sounded like they were dropping their suitcase on the floor repeatedly just lots of banging noises and laughing etc. Even when I was walking in the hallway it sounded like a stampede above the hall. The shower floor was black/dirty. Could barely get reception on my phone.

I forgot my work boots in my room . Norma was able to send me my boots and knew the importance and urgency of my issue . Thank you Norma and LaQuinta for outstanding customer service .

We were charged twice for the same room and I cannot get this hotel to reverse it. We keep getting the runaround. It has been almost 3 weeks..

Please do not stay at this hotel. They double charged my card and one of the charges is to a person that I do not even know. I'll called multiple time and they refuse to refund the money. While staying there the AC was broken on the third floor, room was never cleaned, and they are just so rude. I will contact my bank again and the BBB this is ridiculous. Save yourself the headache and do not stay there.

DON’T STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!! If I can give this hotel a 0 star I would!! Cathy at the front desk canceled all my rooms for my family vacation 30 mins before I go to the hotel. After driving hours to get there I found out my rooms were canceled. The manager on duty was even worse. What kind of GM argues with a customer. I had just got there and obviously there was some miscommunication with them. She told me I could book the rate that is now or leave basically. I worked hotels for so many years especially for a Wyndham brand so I know how it works. She did not want to reinstate my rooms after canceling all of them. This trip got ruined and I had to find another hotel that took me hours to book. NEVER AGAIN!! Worst customer service from Cathy and manager hirval jiva. She didn’t even let us talk or try to work it out with us she was very argumentative and wanted us to leave.
Cathy canceled all my rooms and didn’t even try to fix it when I got there. They had the worst service ever I’ve never had such a bad experience with a Wyndham hotel until I got here. THEY WILL CALL YOU AND CANCEL YOUR ROOMS. DONT STAY HERE!!!!

If I could give zero stars I would. They service and management there is unbelievable they are rude, and very disrespectful to you as soon as you walk in. I made a reservation and it got canceled without my knowledge and when we arrived they didn’t want to accommodate us at all

One star is too much. We drove all the way from Austin just to arrive at canceled rooms. They then proceeded to tell us that we can rebook at the new rate. Spoke with the manager and she was very rude and stated that it is not her problem. Poor management skills. I recommend go elsewhere.

I can't say it enough how much we always love our stay here. The staff is friendly and accommodating. It's always clean, quite and safe. Just a few min drive from Corpus and several places to eat and shop in Portland. They do offer a free breakfast that is decent. Cereal, waffles, biscuits and gravy, eggs etc. The pool is always clean as well. There is even a movie theater right next door. All in all wonderful place.

2nd time we stay there, but this last time we stay there the room was so dusty and the counter top in the bathroom was sticky.

What a fantastic location!!! Conveniently located to Corpus and all it has to offer. The staff was courteous and professional, and the cleanliness of the room and breakfast was superb.

By far one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. They double charged my credit card! We had to literally force them to clean the room! Had to go down n physically get towels cause they would never bring em up! The hallways were always hot! The breakfast was potatoes and eggs for 3 days straight! Will never stay there again and we actually will down there for another baseball tournament again next year!
