My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Garza! We met the hotel owner and she was delightful. Despite our last minute reservation, she made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. The hotel is clean and well kept and we are looking forward to our next weekend in Post. We highly recommend the Hotel Garza B&B.

Visited to view the caprock escarpment, tour the Llano Estacado, and visit Lubbock (Buddy Holly Museum, McPherson's winery, etc). We stayed in a nice suite with a sitting room with comfy chair/couches and an electronic fireplace. Bed was very nice and bathroom was commodious and well appointed. Loved the library with quiet sitting room for reading. Breakfast was bacon, eggs, toast and continental selections. Very well done. We had a wonderful two nights and will stay again; enjoyed the wine bar down the street, the OS Ranch Museum, and the welcoming people of Post.

One of the best stays in a hotel in a long time. Soft beds, hot showers, shared kitchen, and a library/lounge for relaxing. I also noticed a pool in the garden that looks like it would be nice during the hotter season. But over great stay and much needed after to long days of being on the road.

Wow wow20 foot ceilings in this Historical Hotel B&B with variety of antique furnishings throughout the rooms lobby and hallways. So much rich culture of times past. Original wooden floors as they creak as you walk across the floor. Most rooms have carpet in bedrooms and tile in bathrooms so no creaking in most rooms. I was the first customer of day when I journeyed upon this tiny town of Post (CW Post the cereal guy) into Garza Hotel B&B. The kind lady at desk let me know all the rooms are open and each room key on side table .... I could go look to see how decor of each rooms' motif. Three rooms with King size beds downstairs and 8 + rooms up stairs have numerous size beds in vintage style rooms. Library that is rich with dark woods And books on shelf's. Located as you climb stairs before turning to second floor is a door that leads to library and a small dark wooden veranda that over looks dining and entrance of library. Large windows that look out to garden area of Hotel B&an. Very nostalgic !!Home cooked breakfast at 8:30-9:15am each morning. See photo. Bacon was delicious along with whole wheat bread toasted and scrambled eggs. Coffee or tea available along with juice, yogurt, fruit if the day or cereal. Room Prices are really very reasonable. Hospitality is kind and helpful. Questions just are folks are very willing to share their thoughts or information on their town of Post. Cheers! Wonderful and memorable stay at Garza Hotel B&B.

Hotel Garza is just the best! It is a one-of-a-kind beautiful hotel, lovingly restored to what must have been its glory days. The moment you step inside you are greeted by the owner, a most gracious hostess and friendly soul. The hotel itself wraps you in a peaceful, tranquil environment. The antique, comfortable furnishings along with period art and objects really transport you back to the days of elegant rail travel. Each room is unique and creatively furnished and decorated; and you are allowed to peek in if not occupied. The two rooms I stayed in (different occasions) were each very comfortable and beautiful. The beds were comfortable with generous pillows. And don't worry about heat - the air conditioning works very well. And what could beat lounging in an original, lavender-colored tub, gazing out the window at trains going by?! I definitely made use of the library in the mornings and evenings. It is a comfortable, fun place to read and spend time and has the feel of a British aristocrat's private study. Breakfast is homemade and delicious, with a cooked portion and plenty of other offerings, served on linen covered tables. There is a beautiful, grassy courtyard, and the hotel itself is on a still-functioning small town mainstreet. Post is a really neat little town, with a beautiful lake and park deserving of a leisurely visit. I would recommend booking more than one night if you can because you won't want to leave. I'll be staying there every time I pass through on the way home. In fact, I'll probably just go for the heck of it. It would offer a wonderful retreat. Lovely, lovely people and place! Highly recommended.
