Complaints about the metal hanger slipping on the glass are warrantable. I found that silicon adhesive (glue) applied between the metal and glass solves the problem. Clean the two surfaces, apply adhesive liberally and allow 48 hours to cure. I also give a healthy tug on the hanger prior to each cleaning/refilling occurrence for the sake of assurance that the feeder will survive. Also advise not to hang the feeder in direct sunlight as this will help preserve the integrity of the plastic base.
I do like the ease with which the feeder can be cleaned but can't recommend this product unless you're willing to make the necessary alterations to strengthen the metal hanger; it WILL fail.

Yes i have had bands slip too and yes i have had the plastic red perch break. I put electricians tape around the top above the band. I am always in a hurry and dont let the nectar cool before putting in the bottle. The tape allows for some expansion and contract. No solution for broken perch.

I use to love this feeder. Now you have added the metal band to hold the feeder. The band doe not hold the feeder when it is hung. Falls off repeatedly

Love these feeders and have used them for years. I like that the hummingbirds can rest while drinking. Ordered a few new ones with in the last 3 months and they don't hang straight. The red dish is tilted some as if it will not screw on straight. I actually returned a few for this very reason, but with the two that I kept one is attaching tilted. Never had this issue in previous orders. For what it's worth the metal band does seem thinner and less sturdy than in previous versions also. Kindly make them as previously. They are the best on the market.

I too have had the metal bands fail, leading to smashed glass everywhere. I am disappointed, as I love the ease of cleaning these feeders, but I am giving up after failure #3.

Apparently this company has started making the metal bands that hold their feeders cheaper and thinner, which means when you hang the bottles they slip out and come crashing down to the ground. Just got 6 of them in the mail today and already two have fallen and broke. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. Of course these cowards have no website so you can't reach out to them through, and apparently don't read (or don't care about) any reviews left on sites where their cheap product can be purchased- because TONS of reviews are calling out that the metal band does NOT hold the bottle up. THEIR PRODUCT IS COMPLETELY DEFECTIVE. SHAME ON THEM.

Cons then pros of the Best 1 Hummingbird feeder. This morning I filled my humming bird feeders. When I was taking them outside, One of the handles broke free from the metal ring and the feeder fell onto my concrete patio shattering. See photos. Glass shards and sugar water everywhere (including splashed all over me), I went to work cleaning it up. The sugar water attracted wasps and made for a difficult clean up. At this perfectly timed moment, our 2 newly adopted puppies come to the door to pee. I can't let them out because of the glass, so they urinated on my freshly steamed floor (that took 2 hours to clean this morning). Somewhere in the process I must have cut my finger because I start to feel a sting and burning sensation. I quickly realize That the poblano juice from my dinner prep was seeping into my cut. After picking up the glass and hosing down the patio, I let the dogs out, They proceeded to roll in the combination of wet muddy grass and sugar water. Now I recognize that this is not all the fault of the hummingbird feeder itself. But the two stars was given because the metal handle should not have failed. Please do take time to read the prosProsI have two of these hummingbird feeders. I hung each hummingbird feeder in early april before any flowers came out. The feeders immediately attracted many hummingbirds. We had at least 20. All eight spots on the hummingbird feeder we're full on both feeders. There were also hummingbirds flying around waiting to get some food. The counting lines are quite accurate on the side of the glass. This is based on how many we counted, and how quickly we had to refill the feeder. We have owned other feeders before and all of them attracted ants and wasps. This feeder has not attracted any ants. We only saw wasps when the weather became extremely hot. They did not infest the feeder they just snacked and left.I am going to attempt to return the feeder to HEB Where I purchased it. If they are unable to help me. I will reach out to the company and see what they can do as far as replacing it.Stay tuned for an update. The last photo Is of the puppies and as you can see, they're too cute to get into trouble for peeing in the house.

A HANGING FEEDER THAT WON’T HANG!! Our old ones are better quality and have lasted for years. The one I got as a gift last month can not be filled all the way because the hanging ring is cheap light metal and won’t tighten enough, so a full bottle slips right out. I caught it as I was hanging it…thankfully! Looks like somebody tried to increase profit a bit per item by using cheaper material. I see other people on Amazon are having the same trouble. So, if you purchase one of these, purchase some outdoor super glue to glue the hanger to the bottle. Disappointed that yet one more American company has gone “cheap” and changed their once-good product.

Need some assistance, I was just given the Best-1 Hummingbird feeder from my 4 yr old granddaughter for Mother's Day. She set it down on the grass and the glass bottle broke. The tag mentions replacement 32oz bottles for $6.50, however, I don't know where to go to order one. How do I order it? I would like to get one ordered before she comes back over so I can show her it filled and working.

I love the feeders. I have several but the bottom lids crack after time. Wanted to buy replacement and went to Google address. This is not a public store they do not sell any product from this location. Called them and they gave me a place to buy replacement parts but they are more expensive than what I paid for the feeders. Too bad quality isn't better. The hummingbirds really like the feeders.

Been using these for years, given as gifts to many family and friends! Question, though… is there a bee guard that works well with this design? Have tried a few but they won’t stay in place.

I have six of these feeders. They are easy to clean and I’ve never had a problem with the metal hanger. The only issue I have is with the base. Where it screws onto the bottle the little lip breaks. This is what keeps the hole part secure and once broken it wiggles. My hummers seem ok feeding from it this way. I’ve been using these feeders for years and I’ve already replaced the base on two of them. Now I have another which needs a new base. I think the company should send me a new complimentary base……..

The metal hanger came off and I cannot get it to be tight enough to hold it. Very poor design. This was a gift so don't have a receipt.

USED TO BE THE BEST- The new feeder I ordered looked just like the old ones but was not as well made. Old feeders have an embossed pattern on the glass to keep metal hanger from slipping off. New one was slick, hanger came off and feeder fell and plastic bottom cracked. old review below.Truly are the Best! We've had three for years and they have outlasted many other brands. Love the glass and hard plastic design.
