“Bears destroy other hummingbird feeders, my feeders have been malled by Bears in the day light and at night as my memory is that of an old tank driver. This feeder stands up to Bears. Some repair is needed, some of the time, if the threaded ring develops a Crack no repairs are required.

Improvement ideas:
Make a bigger round threaded ring to fit 1.75 Liter bottles of the whiskey variety as the hummingbirds empty 750 ml in 1.5 days.

Find a magic space age material with the softness of a flower peddle to plug into a slightly bigger hole in the feeder. The hummingbirds slam into one another in the heat of the day, sometimes injuries result. The goal is make a flower that grows and wicks out the syrup for a more natural hummingbird experience. We do not do things because they are easy, but because they are hard, but it this case we want soft and pliable.”
