Yesterday I went in the store for some shopping. Every associate was so friendly and helpful. When I went to checkout Marcy helped me look for things in the back. Then I couldn’t find my birthday discount code and when a few minutes after leaving the store I found it, Marcy helped me with re-doing the entire order and was patient and professional. I don’t know the name of the other associate who helped me with some questions while shopping, but she was very thorough in her help.

The manager is awful here, go to the west plano store they are amazing. I was told I was barely pregnant because I am in my first trimester and was judged for buying clothes. My friends are POC and were racially profiled the minute we walked in the door.

After having a very poor customer service experience with the older lady up front, I feel better knowing I wasn’t the only one who felt like it was so bad I had to write a one star review. I was trying to return unworn shoes without a receipt, which the company website states clearly I can do for store credit. After locating my order, she accuses me of returning used items because my kids played with the Velcro straps. For someone who works at a kids store she has no understanding or empathy for people with kids. I at one point even asked if she could just take them back to get them off my hands and she acted as if I had some toxic shoes no child could ever wear. I encourage this company to fire her for the sake of your business and I will not be returning to this location as long as she is there.

I visited the Carter's store in Prosper, Texas, on February 15, 2025, and had an unpleasant experience with the store manager Marcie. She followed me around the store in a way that felt intrusive. When I confronted her and expressed that she was making me uncomfortable, I even mentioned that I was willing to leave if necessary. She then gave an excuse, claiming she was waiting for someone from the fitting room to apply for a credit card, something that didn't seem genuine.
Despite the discomfort, I completed my purchase and left. After looking at other reviews, I see that similar incidents have happened to multiple customers at this location. I hope Carter's takes these concerns seriously and ensures a more welcoming shopping experience for everyone. We can all do better.

This is one of the worst stores I’ve seen. The old woman with deep voice short hair. Turns lights off 10 min before close tells me they close at 755. Locks one door 20 min before close. The woman acts like she owns the store. And gives terrible service. Does anyone know stores like carters. Bc this is a horrible place

If i could i would give this store a negative rating. Carters your clothes might be good, but your employees are extremely rude and racist. The old lady who is the manager behaves like she is entitled and she is giving out clothes for free. And when we go in for returns she behaves as if we are returning robbed clothes.

This is probably my lengthyst rewiew I ever wrote, but I wanted to share my full experience. I went to the store to return a few clothes that were bought at Carters but have passed the 90 days time frame but we're in sealed bags. The old lady was ought right telling me that I couldn't return them even though your website clearly stated that I would get a merchandise credit for the selling price of the item and buy something else. She was acting as if I was trying to steal something. She started scanning and was just throwing stuff around and has acted very frustrated by tearing the packages that I got the clothes in. Now, no one else is going to take them back.
It doesn't end there. She scanned the item and just applied 40-50% even though that wasn't the price she was seeing on the scanner and again was acting as if she was giving me her money. I just took back my stuff and walked out.
This is the worst experience one could have in a children's store. I would expect people to be a lot more empathic, especially when you're around newborn parents as they could be dealing with a lot, and missed receipt should be the least of their concern.
Hey Carters, Your clothes might be good, but in the long run, customer experience is what matters and its worst. Please emphasize training/retraining them as I love your brand, but I now hate going there again, nor would I let my kids anywhere near the store.

The online prices didn’t match what was in store and the staff wasted time following me around as if I wanted to steal something but another woman looked clearly guilty, I’m sure it was related to my skin color. Do better. I won’t be going back there. The previous staff were much more professional.

Clothes are good. But the policy of having only one bag per transaction makes me to feel.. am I in Texas? And that bag is also very flimsy and after we spent $130 or so we had to take some of our clothes in hand to bring it home new. Before we get in the car that one bag also torn away. The associates could be more based on practical than policy.

I had a terrible experience at this location today. I used to shop here often until this older woman started working there. She was so rude to me & tried to embarrass me in front of other customers for returning a few pjs I had purchased the day before. She interrogated me like a criminal asking did I purchase the items even though I had a receipt, tags and card I purchased the items with. She also asked why didn’t I take them back to the store I purchased at. I told her she was overstepping her boundaries and being rude. My skin color must have had something to do with it, because she was nice to the other customers returning items. Won’t be returning and do not recommend if you’re a minority.
