The staff here are very friendly and helpful and the store has a good selection of food. They don't have a gluten free section but they do have lactose free milk items. It is hard to find unsweetened products such as peanut butter. All expected in a small town grocery store. The prices are higher here and you need to check dates on the food. BUT the air conditioner is always broken. I was in here a year ago and the chocolate on the counter was melted and the workers were visibly hot. Ever since then, even a year later, it seems like the air conditioning does not work properly and they are using vintage fans pointed at the checkout counter. It is hot inside the store. As of September 27, 2023 this is still going on. If the people aren't cool then how is the food supposed to stay cool? Especially with the vintage open coolers for the vegetables and meat. Perishable items are clearly going bad faster here and lack of air conditioning is disrespectful to the wonderful people who work here.

Friendly staff and locals, good selection, fair prices considering the isolated location and size of town. I appreciated the convenient location outside Caprock Canyons State Park. The staff offered my 2 year old son a banana, and he was delighted. We thoroughly enjoyed our shopping experience.

Great little grocery store. Well stocked shelves and amazingly good inventory of supplies which is very unusual for small town stores. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Sweet little store with friendly staff. They gave my kids a banana too. They have a good assortment and you can easily fix a dinner from their assortment.
