The past six months have been very disappointing. The '3 day sale' rarely has ANY of the items available on any day of sale and no one ever has any answers as to why. The 4 for $20 meat sale is rarely available or restocked. The butchers in the meat dept seem younger than the previous ones and have no concern for customer inquiries, similar to management. I never thought I'd see Brookshires operate in this manner.

I've been shopping at Brookshire's in Red Oak for a few years now. I've liked how they always had check out cashiers because I don't like self check out machines. Lately, I've noticed there has been a shortage of check out cashiers and I've had to use the self check out machines. Those machines are horrible and the attendants who help customers with the machines would be better suited working at a cash register. I've witnessed customers walk away from those machines without their groceries and I have done the same. I'll continue to buy milk and tea there but it's too big of a hassle to shop there now. My biggest complaint is the fact that Lisa no longer works there. Whatever she was paid to be a manager there wasn't enough. I've seen her do 4 jobs at once and she was always cheerful. One time, I was in line and a new employee needed help. Lisa came from the customer service area and helped the new employee. My item wouldn't ring up, so Lisa went to do a price check, returned and rang up my groceries. Afterwards, she walked to my car and helped me load my groceries in my car. I've seen her do the same with other customers. Losing Lisa was a huge loss and it appears Brookshire's is on a downward spiral.

I loved shopping at Brookshires. Large islands. They had items that I like but hard to find. Also, prices are higher than other storesI love HEB in Waxahachie because I'm from San Antonio, and we have HEBS . You really need to be competitive price wise. So items are doubled. If did find some bargains. YES I will stop at Brookshire againI will also compare prices before I buy.

Can’t believe they don’t have a plastic bag return. They will give you a ton of them but you can’t return

DO NOT EAT THEIR COOKED FOOD. It’s all frozen and cooked with disgusting quality. I’ve seen employees eat cookies and chicken behind the counter without gloves. Look at their display case, absolutely disgusting. This is what they are feeding our community? I’m going to Walmart.

I’m shocked this store is still running. The produce goes bad immediately. The deli is filled with bugs, bad food and no customer service. It seems to be run by kids, even the managers lack professionalism. I’ve gotten sick from the catfish in the meat market so I definitely wouldn’t recommend eating that smelly fish. The bathroom looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since the summer of 2017. Not to mention the prices? Everything is more expensive than Walmart. If you’re shopping here, they are simply taking our money. Corporate needs to go ahead and close this location and give us a REAL HEB.

Shopped here twice, consistently 40 cents more expensive than the Walmart across the street. Bathrooms are disgusting. Tried the fried chicken, absolutely terrible. You can taste and smell the old grease. Customer service is garbage. Management is nonexistent. Kids everywhere. It’s just a matter of time until this building will get bought out. Overall would not recommend. Go to Walmart and save yourself the headache and money.

I love shopping at this Brookshire's location. It is not a congested tight squeeze aisles kind of place. You can get around in it. The staff was very nice and helpful!

It is an alternative to Walmart but very expensive except for sale items. The store is clean and usually well stocked except for sale items. Sales start on Wednesday and by that morning meat items on sale are not there. Lately after complaining to corporate it has got better. As the main shopper in the family sometimes I find prices are dollars higher than other stores. I call it an over grown 7-11. I would do most of my shopping there if the prices were more competitive. Fifty cents here a dollar there higher just ads up too quick.

Absolutely love Lisa. Others are awesome also. So if you despise Walmart like I do, this is the place to go.

This is one of my favorite grocery stores. The employees are friendly. They are helpful and they seem to enjoy their place of employment. The store is small but it has what you need. I come her often just for the watermelon. It is the sweetest I can find in the DFW, that isn't off of a truck or at a Farmer's Market. I was waited on by Darrell. Every time I come in he is such a sweetheart. Along with Ethan bagging my groceries. The store would have received a five but I can never find honey roasted cashews. Like never.

For the most part is a great store, its clean and easy to find products' deals on products are usually pretty good and there are decent cashier lines running but some of the employees (kids) needs to understand that you're at your job act like it this is you're opportunity to learn grow and mature. All in all a good store.

In a rush and not familiar with this particular store I needed assistance. Lisa, found out she is Office Lead, went above and beyond to not only directed me where to go and knowing what products were available but she stepped up to check me out with excellent efficiency, courtesy and professionalism. This made the visit well worth it and being from Waxahachie I will even travel back there due to such a pleasant experience.
