The store and restrooms are well maintained and very clean, with a cleanliness level that exceeds expectations. The travel center offers plenty of parking, making it convenient for long breaks. It features nice showers, considered some of the best in the area, with hot water available for a low price. Travelers often stop here to take a break, let their dogs out, or enjoy a meal, as the only restaurant currently is Pizza Hut. In the past, there was a different restaurant, but it has closed down. The center used to serve fresh-brewed iced tea, which was loved by many, but it has been replaced with machines that are sometimes out of service. Fuel availability has also decreased at times. Overall, Refugio Travel Center is a clean, friendly, and reliable place that many consider their go-to stop whenever in the area.
For a travel center there were no options to clean your car windows and had prices were high.

I drove by recently with my family and I had a great experience. The bathrooms were clean and tidy.

Great place under new management. Has lot of parking, EV charging station which was very helpful. Very clean washroom facility also gives the place a well deserved 5 star. Strongly recommend visiting.
