I have been coming to Dr Hoover for years and love him. There are a lot of doctors who aren’t sincere about caring for their patients by he truly does and has your best interest at hand. I will say like some of the other reviews, in the past, I have battled getting refills over the phone but will say it’s been better recently.

My sister goes to Dr. Hoover and every month it's like pulling teeth to get her prescriptions refilled. They tell her to call them in early and then they accuse you of harassing his staff. She's trying to get on disability. She's a cancer survivor but the cancer treatment wrecked her body. He didn't properly send in the paperwork for her and she was denied because of this. It is terrible that she is made to feel this way because they can't call her prescriptions in the same time every month. Avoid this dr! We are filling several complaints about this doctor because he and his staff are incompetent and rude.

I called to get an appointment as a new patient, with a health issue, concerning FMLA, I was told it would take at least 5 weeks to see the doctor, although I would be able to see the GP, with out a checkup or diagnosis of what I believe is a serious work related health issue and because I'm new to the practice, the GP would definitely not complete the FMLA paperwork, , without even knowing me, the staff and GP, made this decision, so basically in essence you will be punished if you take care of yourself and have no need to see a doctor but when the time comes when you have to see a doctor, they will not help you because you have no history of illness, I give only the GP and staff the one star, not the Doctor, because it was only the GP and staff that made that call without the Doctor's advise, as far as I know... This is what health care has come to today, so-called health care workers who make accusations on a whim without the facts. THIS IS A BUSINESS LOOKING TO MAKE MONEY NOT HEALTH CARE!!!Now I'm Confused? I distinctly remember the receptionist tell me without medical history with your clinic, or medical history at all, nor anything that I can explain about my recent condition (In which I felt was personal info that should be discussed with a doctor not a receptionist) will change the fact that FMLA paperwork will not be filled out, I know you are unable to complete the paperwork that day until I'm checked out, but to say you will not complete the paperwork no matter what I have to explain is pure judgmental on your receptionist/nurse practitioner's part, and the receptionist did in fact tell me because of so many new patients, I would not be able to see the Doctor for at least 5 weeks but did offer to setup an appointment the next day with the nurse practitioner... I do believe the Doctor is a good person (From what I was told) but the way the receptionist/nurse practitioner reacted, I felt was rude and unjust and refused the appointment, I don't know who wrote the response to my review but i can guess it was the same person I spoke with, by referring to me as confused and accusing me of lying about the five week wait.

Dr. Andrew Hoover and Nurse Practitioner Michelle are very caring and compassionate providers. They run a amazing clinic. If you are looking for a doctor that will listen to you and truly cares about you, this is your office. Call and make an appointment. I promise he and Michelle are worth the wait.

I’ve been holding onto my opinion of this place for a few years now, but there is always that one lady who is really nice, so I bite my tongue and continue on. I don’t think nice is cutting it. They are inefficient and burnt out.

My husband has been a patient since we moved out to this area. Our other was over a hour away. My husband was seen in the emergency room on 04-23-21. He was diagnosed with a good size DVT in one of his legs. The second one in 6 months. He called to get in with Dr Hoover for a follow up and when to return to work. The receptionist told him since he hasn't been there in a few years he is now a new patient and it would be July. This is the worst he has ever been treat at any medical facility. They don't care if you have a serious medical condition. DO NOT GO HERE. Mrs Brenda Cutler
