I have a complaint in with the BBB regarding this shop in Richardson, which is now in its final stage of review after no response from this shop to the BBB. My complaint will be posted with the BBB shortly for all to see. This shop is owned by Scott Jersa, which he purchased recently from what I understand within the last 6 months. He owns two other Eagle Transmission shops, one in Garland and one in Rowlett....SO BE AWARE OF THESE SHOP AS WELL......I took my 2014 Acura RDX to Eagle Transmission/Richardson because it was close to my house. I recently purchased my Acura and it was under Auto Nation warranty for 3 months from purchase. It needed a new transmission. I must note that I am a senior living pay check to pay check on social security and getting more and more into debt with today's economy. I took my car to Eagle on 11/27/23 and was greeted by Lewis Marez, the manager. He came on very professional and caring of my situation. He sold himself on how he can handle these warranty companies, he knows how to deal with them. Not to worry, he will take of care of me. His goal was to sell himself to the warranty company, giving them a rebuild price they could not afford to refuse and he was going to do such a good job they will not send an inspector out to slow the job down. Leaving my car11/27 I had to rent a car knowing I was responsible for the rental. I kept pushing Lewis on his contact with the warranty company, he finally gave them an estimate of $6,500 on 12/5 to do the job of rebuilding the transmission after he did all that they asked of him. My rental car fee was killing me, but I accepted the responsibility, knowing this was on me. On 12/6, Lewis was given permission to do the work. I was so excited with the news, that I went out on 12/7 bought ($65.00 worth of food) and made lunch for the entire shop. I picked up my car on Friday 12/8/23. Lewis was acting strange, he took care of the billing/paperwork. I owed them $200 copay because I went out of network to get the job done and other work Lewis did on my car. I was given a 3yr/36,000 mi warranty on the work done. After all done Lewis went directly into the shop and did not even say goodbye. I left, returned my rental car which cost me $414.63, 11/27 to 12/8. Over the weekend I noticed a noise pulling out of my driveway when the car was reverse, but seemed to do okay going forward. On Monday, 12/11, I went to the shop to talk to Lewis to explain what I was experiencing. Upon entering the shop, there was another gentleman behind the counter. I asked for Lewis, this gentleman said that Lewis was no longer there, fired. Aaron Leff was now the new manager, I was shocked. I explained my situation, what I was experiencing with the car. He asked if I can give him time, he was overwhelmed with the mess that Lewis left the shop. I told him if all went well I would see him after the first of the year, he appreciated that. On Saturday 12/23, the car completely broke down, transmission was gone. I left a message on their phone that I would be bringing the car in on 12/26. On bringing the car in, I told Aaron this was absolutely unacceptable, I now had to go and rent another car, which I could not afford the first time, this was putting me in debt crisis. I decided to give him some time and did not press him. A week past, I went and checked their parking lot over the weekend and saw my car in the back parking lot, they hadn't moved it. A week now into my car rental!!!!! I needed some answers. Went to see Aaron, still doing the best he could. I asked for the owners name, which he gave Scott Jersa. Would not give me his phone number. I wanted to discuss my car rental, which I felt should be their responsibility. This breakdown was not my cars fault, not my fault, but the fault of a bad employee (which they knew about and put me in his path). He should have been fired when Jersa bought the franchise, he knew the condition of the shop when he bought it. He chose to keep this man in his employ. Best experience I have ever had with a car shop. Literally saved me thousands ,I had been to two car shops including Firestone and was told my transmission was failing.Not only did they thoroughly inspect my vehicle but found the real issue and fixed it, without any excessive fees. Also female approved ,I’ve been to many car shops as a young female maintaining my own car and have received many crazy quotes and made up problems.

Sold their business to new owners. Dealing with new management and they’re CROOKS. They’ll tell you one thing and do another. Used to be loyal customers, NEVER going back. Avoid this place at all cost.

Worst service ever, my transmission is still messed up after spending 4000.00. They ruined other parts and now I can't get them replaced.They will come up with every excuse not to fix a problem. Do not go here!!!

Louis was very knowledgeable and understanding of our situation. If you’re in East Richardson or Garland I highly recommend going to these guys if you’re having issues with your transmission. Our problem was when I pushed on the accelerator the engine revved up really high and unfortunately with our Nissan pathfinder, it has a continuous transmission so it wasn’t able to be repaired it had to be replaced but in some cases they’re able to repair.

Very unprofessional service from Luis(guy in charge)Got a transmission rebuilt, i had to drive 2 hrs to get to the shop several times just to find out my truck was not ready when he said it was gonna be.Really bad communication skillsBrings his personal life problems to work !Do not come to this shopHe will get mad at you because he’s having problems with his wife which is the assistantA person how he treats really bad infront of Custumers , do not come here you will regret itThis place needs a new person in charge. Luis will treat you and act right but just untill you pay him lolEver after that don’t expect to hear nothing back from him, i asked the assistant at the desk (luis wife) some questions about my truck and he started yelling at her for no reason and told her not to talk to customers and get back to work when she was just answering my questions.Service: Transmission

Fixed up my 10 year old car with a transmission in record time and fixed a coolant leak as well. Lewis was great to deal with and got me back up and running again! Thanks!

I took out the transmission of my truck and brought it to this place to have them check it out to see if they could fix it. Luis helped me out and said that they would check my transmission for free. They took my transmission and open/unassembled it and then told me they couldn’t fix it and gave it to me all unassembled. When I asked to get my transmission the way I gave it to them they said they would charge me $4,000 to assemble it back. Luis never mentioned this before taking my assembled transmission. I don’t recommend this place because they are not honest.

Awesome guy, helped to not only have the truck fixed but took the time to explain what the problems were and also the work that needed to be done to fix it! I have been back many times and I have never been disappointed. Lewis and his team get my vote whole heartedly!
