My son has been going here for 3months and he loves it! We love it too. The teachers and staff are wonderful and they really take the time to know each child and what their needs are. I’m so blessed to have them all!

At first this was a great daycare but after the changes in staff….not so much anymore. The teachers are not trained to handle children. They don’t fully communicate with parents. There was an alleged incident of abuse to a child and they didn’t let the parents know until months later. So glad my children are leaving and won’t be returning.

I've been a parent at this daycare for a little over a year now, and I've been patient in giving it a chance to improve, but I can no longer stay silent about the issues I've encountered. One of my major concerns is the lack of communication with parents. It feels like the staff doesn't value their relationship with us. The constant turnover of employees is evident, as I always see new faces, which makes it difficult to establish a sense of trust and continuity for my child. My child recently learned how to potty train, and it's natural for him to make mistakes, especially when he's asleep. To address this, I kindly requested that his teacher put a pull-up on him during nap time to minimize the frequency of soiled sheets. Unfortunately, my requests were consistently ignored, leading to frequent sheet changes and extra work for me at home. I believe it's essential to show some understanding and patience for a child who is still in the process of learning to control his bladder while asleep.Furthermore, my child has come home with unexplained cuts, some of which have left scars. It's concerning that his teachers were unaware of these incidents. The safety and well-being of the children should always be a top priority, and incidents like these should never go unnoticed or unreported.I regret having to write this review, as I had hoped for a better experience for my child at this daycare. It's disheartening to see these issues persist without improvement. I hope that the daycare management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary changes to provide a safer and more supportive environment for all the children in their care.Update: This happened today: October 2, 2023These scratches occurred today. Evidently, he and another boy engaged in a dispute over a bicycle, resulting in the boy scratching him. I wonder if the teacher had been closely supervising them, could this incident have been avoided?

I stumbled upon Children's Lighthouse one Saturday when they were doing an Easter event and haven't looked back since. I toured the facility and spoke with multiple teachers and administrators and everyone was so welcoming and nice and the vibe just felt right. I enrolled my daughter in April (she was 20 months) and it was the best decision I could've made. The routine and guidelines they have set, really helped us get into an official daily routine with her. She's learning so much and surprises us sometimes with the new things she's saying and noticing. The care each teacher takes with the kids is amazing. I definitely recommend Children's Lighthouse to any parent looking for a great learning environment for their child. I'm so happy I found them.

Visited a few places around the area to the a tour, Children's Lighthouse of Richmond was our second stop. We still had a few to look into but when we did the tour here me and my wife just knew that this is the best. The atmosphere is just very welcoming and nurturing. Everyone is super nice and Ms LaVerne interacts with the kids like they're family. Ms Rocio and all the other caregivers are all awesome. The updates throughout the day and live feed camera access is also a cool feature for parents' peace of mind.

My daughter recently started going to Lighthouse in Richmond. She liked going to school all the time. I like the friendly atmosphere at the school. I like the flexible timings offered by the school, I can drop my daughter when ever I want and pick her up when ever I can.Over all I would definitely refer this place to my friends.

Having my child enrolled at Children’s Lighthouse has been a great experience. The staff is always very friendly, kind and attentive. Ms. Sophia and several other caregivers have taken great care of my child. The staff goes out of there way to ensure your child is cared for. At CLH I know my son is safe and I know my child is picked up from school in a timely manner. Thank you CLH!

The worst school. The classrooms are always disorganized. Management never knows what they are doing. If your kid likes a teacher tell him to kiss them goodbye because they are constantly rotating teachers. Some of the teachers are not trained for special ed children and some have 0 experience with children. I would rather lose my job and watch my child at home than send them to this place.
