I read the reviews before I wrote this because my experience just was not good. I was at this nursery on a Monday at 12 and it was not crowed. I wandered and wandered looking and looking for the plants I was interested in and although there was lots of staff around all of them where very busy watering and moving plants on and off of shelves and when I walked towards them they either walked away or avoided eye contact. Years ago before Richmond got developed my in-laws used to take us as a family to Franks to get live Christmas trees and it was a family event, now staff avoids customers wandering through the muddy walk ways of the nursery clearly looking for plants. With other options in the area now, I won't be returning to Franks again.

$60 a minimum for a homeowner to dump their branches is ridiculous. I had a very small trailer with the tree trimmings from one tree in my front yard. Maybe the size of the bed of a truck. $60 minimum for large tree crews I would understand. Your prices and your attitude is crazy. I will not be back for dumping or plants.

When I bought the pallet I notices all the grass. The first pallet they were all dead and they just give us the dead grass and and so we looked at it through and found some earthworms that can eat all the grass. The roots goes with it so I don't like rip off people to rip off on me. So this is a rip-off.

Franks Nursery is responsible for severe fires and constant contamination of our communities environment. They stack mulch up to 4-5 stories high and as a result cause 2-3 day long fires. Our neighbors cannot breathe outside. Do not support this business. This could have been prevented with not overloading their mulch stacks.

Getting tired of their mulch always catching on fire and smoking out my neighbourhood! I'm sure all the wonderful chemicals in it aren't hurting anything or anyone right?

The employees were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, especially the cashier. She was able to answer our questions and get us exactly what we needed to complete our project.

We needed an estimate. Called on a Thursday. Was told Frank was at church and would call within the next two days to come give an estimate. I was also told that they were "slow" right now. I called on Monday, after not hearing from anyone. The guy I spoke to said that they are really busy, and it was going to be another week before we could even get an estimate! We clearly were not a priority for them.Frank is wonderful and does wonderful work. However, his staff is rude, and the scheduling is a mess.
