Zero stars!! This business is very unprofessional, I do not recommend!!! I made an appointment for my son's back to school twists. They rescheduled us three times and when we showed up, the braider said she could not do the basic 2 strand twists after we had already sent a picture of the style and the appointment was confirmed. Unless you're booking $300-400 braids, they dont want to work. They do not respect customers' time. Unless you have spare time to waste, don't book with this business. I see from the other reviews, others have had the same negative experience. I wish I would have read the reviews first.Service: Twist braids

I scheduled an appointment a week prior for my daughter to get a certain braid style. I spoke to someone through text, sent her a picture of the desired style and she confirmed with me that someone would be able to do it. On the day of the appointment, my daughter sits down in the chair and the they start on her hair, a few braids in, my daughter realized that the style was nothing like the style she wanted. So the lady that was initially braiding her hair stopped and told her that she wouldn’t be able to do her hair, and that no one else was available to do the style. If no one could do this style I should’ve been informed of this PRIOR to scheduling after I sent the picture of the desired style. That was a complete waste of time, and if your wanting anything other than regular BOX BRAIDS do not come here. And the style was simple feed in braids.In response to the OWNER: Honey, the style was feed in braids, your employee was doing simple corn rolls. Which was not the style my daughter was wanting, she did three braids before my daughter told her to stop. it didn’t take her two hours to do three braids. As I said before, I spoke to someone a week prior, sent the picture of the desired style in and she confirmed with me. So yes, it was a waste of time, maybe you need to invest in braiding classes for your stylist so they’ll have more knowledge in other braid styles. Service use to be really great. I've been a customer for years but the quality of the work is becoming subpar. The customer service is not what it use to be, screaming on the cellphones, talking loudly over clients, when you tell them too tight they don't adjust, uneven and inconsistent braids. I will try the new location to see if the quality and service is better.

Listen the 3.7 rating stands for stay away!!! You can look at my reviews, I give honest reviews. Now let’s get into this and I will share every detail. I contacted Kady African Braiding at 10:52am on 12/16/2022 no one answered. I left a message and also sent a text message. I was at work when they attempted to call back, but communicated back and forth through text messaging and confirmed my appointment at 1:29pm for a takedown which was set for 6:00pm. I arrived at 5:36pm attempted to open the door and it was locked. I called the person I scheduled with at 5:37pm she answered and I explained the door is locked she said she’s going to call the braider. She texted me back at 5:55pm and said “Hello please getting back to you shortly” (her exact message). I replied “Okay” at 6:00. At 6:03 she calls me saying the braider is almost home and if I can reschedule for another day with a discount, she also said the braider left because people were canceling and she thought I wasn’t coming. How can you think I wasn’t coming when you didn’t call me before your employee left or the employee didn’t contact me? Makes no sense whatsoever. Now, tell me I wasted almost 30 minutes of my evening when I could have found business elsewhere. This was a huge inconvenience. The fact that I received an email confirming my appointment meant that your employee should have been at work whether I cancel or not. This is not how you run a business. Why is your employee not at work at 5:30? That makes absolutely no sense. If you want to do business with an unreliable company that’s you, but me personally will never contact them or do business. I guess my money or my will for wanting to do business with them wasn't of value.

The workers in the Rosenberg location can not braid very well & the manager is rude & refused to do my son hair because I asked several questions. The owners where very kind but they should get more professional workers

Stylist did a very good job and I am loving my hair style, however she started my hair 30 mins late.. luckily I had lots of time on my hand and it was a simple style... luv the convenience close to my home.. definitely will return.

FYI, this is a VERY GOOD REVIEW! I contacted the owner informing them that I had a very rough day at the Westheimer location. I explained the details of the experience that lead up to my frustration. I explained that after getting my hair braided, I looked at my hair when I got home, it was too much hair and too big and just not the style that I was expecting or had presented to them! But they tried to achieve the style. I Explained that I have been a loyal customer for many, many years and have referred SEVERAL people to them. I inquired if they could redo my hair. All I can say is that, the owner was VERY accommodating. The owner heard my concern and addressed it! Not only did they redo my hair, but I love it sooo much! Out of the many years that I have been going to Kady African Braiding, I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this style!! Thank you so much for your services, customer service and professionalism.

The braiders are fast and do beautiful work , however they really need to clean and update their salon . It's old and always looks dirty and unkept. Perhaps they should consider moving to an updated space because Richmond/ Rosenberg has plenty. They are professional braiders however their salon doesn't reflect the quality of their work. Your clients deserve a clean, updated, comfortable place to get their services

Staff were nice & did a good job. I was stuck in freeway traffic- late for my appt. The owner was very understanding. My daughter, granddaughter, & I went several times before Covid n everytime was fine. ????
