Both of my boys went to this daycare, and they absolutely loved it! The staff is caring, attentive, and truly makes the kids feel safe and happy. It gave me peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands every day. The environment is welcoming, and they do a great job balancing learning, playtime, and structure. I’m so grateful for the love and care my children received here. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a nurturing and reliable daycare!

Best preschool/daycare experience we've ever had! My son was here from age 2-3 in the Toddler B room and while there, developed friendships with peers and a bond with the teachers in his room, as well as became fully potty trained. Moving our family to Katy recently was so bittersweet because of how our son has blossomed at this school. We could tell the teachers in his class really cared about him. I also appreciate the care, attention, and involvement Ms. Nadia the director always demonstrated. We will miss you guys!

Our family had a wonderful experience with the Kensington school. It was very comforting knowing that our kids were in a safe and clean environment. Our youngest child started their as a baby and progress through the school all the way until he started kindergarten. Not only did he loved all of his teachers, but he seems much better prepared to start Public School been a lot of the other kids. We also really like how invested the directors are in the school. If we ever have another child, we will definitely be sending them to Kensington.

Our family had high hopes for Kensington and were excited once we enrolled our toddler. Things were off to a great start but everything took a turn once they transitioned to the 2 year old classroom. Our toddler was continuously written up for small miscellaneous things on a weekly and I mean weekly basis. After meeting with Nadia to discuss the write ups we were told they were for information purposes only and that our toddler wasn’t going to be kicked out. That was a sigh of relief but the tedious write ups were becoming frustrating. To add insult to injury, Nadia suggested that our toddler who was only 2 years old was having a speech barrier and that was being expressed through their behavior. She recommended that we seek speech therapy. Keep in mind that our child was only 2 years old and the youngest in their class. We took Nadia’s advise and went to a speech therapy evaluation only to be told that our kid was right on schedule. We finally decided that Kensington wasn’t the right fit for our child and removed them after continuously weekly write ups. I don’t want to believe that our child was treated differently because of race but at the same time I can’t be blind to the possibilities. After speaking to their teacher upon making to decision to remove them, things became a lot clearer ! Our child is now at a new daycare and is thriving and doing quite well. Their speech is amazing and no write ups and they have been there for over 4 months. Also Kensington follows Lamar ISD schedule and has excessive school closer days which defeats the purpose of a day care. For example during the Christmas/ New Year holiday, they are closed for 2 weeks which causes stress and heart ache on parents who have to work. One of the reasons for daycare is to watch children while the parents work, so 2 weeks closed is troublesome. Also the extra activities for the students and special events is very lackluster. Kensington and its managerial staff needs to do better. If you are looking to enroll your child in this school, be cautious and do your due diligence before making more decision.

The Kensington School holds a very special place in our hearts! They taught both of our boys while we lived in Texas and we were heartbroken to have to leave them! My oldest son went to kindergarten fully reading because of the preparation they give in pre-k. The teachers and owners are top notch and care for the children as if they were their own. I would not go anywhere else for early childhood development!

I couldn't be happier with the care my children have received at Kensington. The staff is incredibly friendly, professional, and always goes above and beyond to ensure my children's safety and happiness. The environment is warm, welcoming, and spotless, and the activities are both engaging and thoughtful. Kensington prioritizes not only educational growth but also emotional development.
I have three children, ages 2, 6, and 7. My older two attended Kensington from a young age and graduated to public school a few years ago. Thanks to the strong academic foundation they received there, both were accepted into the Gifted and Talented program at their elementary school, and they continue to thrive.
Now that it's time to enroll my youngest, I didn't hesitate for a second—Kensington is the only choice!

The Kensington School has been a wonderful place for our two sons to learn, grow, and thrive. From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt the warmth and dedication of the teachers and staff. Ms. Nadia and Mr. Ali create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, encouraged, and excited to explore the world around them.
We’ve seen so much growth in our child’s confidence, communication, and curiosity. The teachers truly care about each child, taking the time to understand their unique personalities and needs. The level of patience and kindness they show is remarkable.
We’re incredibly grateful for The Kensington School and would wholeheartedly recommend it to any family looking for a loving and engaging early childhood education experience.

Updated in 2024: my child, now 6 years old, still have fond memories of this school and loved the first friends that she made here. Thanks for building a safe, kind and supportive school!Original review in 2022Nadia and her staff are professional, responsive and exceptional Montessori educators. They know every kid by name (even if not from their class) and teaches core values like kindness and patience. The curriculum is prepared a month in advance, every part of the day is well thought out with alphabet, counting, stem and art activities; the child comes home end of the week with all the class work they did. During the summer, they have splash days where they inflate in a big water slide. Children also gets playground time on site (if not too hot). They have a strict no fever policy (which is reassuring), for example Due to the pandemic, they’re also Very honest in sharing if any students are exposed to the virus, if tested positive, they require the child to quarantine for 10 days before coming back to class.Recommendations:- Although earth day and recycling were taught, it’s not really practiced. The classroom uses a lot of plastic, for example each kid gets a zip lock bag for class work. (Maybe ask parents to bring a binder or folder? I typically bring back the zip lock bags). I was told that they switch a pair of gloves after applying sunscreen/bug spray on each child, which is great for hygiene, not sure if there’s a more environmental way. Ask the older kids to put it on themselves?- Hygiene: each child were asked to wash their hands when entering the classroom but not monitored throughout the day if the child washed their hands after using the bathroom. This may be because of the Montessori teaching but some children still needs guidance.

We have had the pleasure of enrolling both of our daughters in the Kensington School, and the experience has been nothing short of exceptional. If we didn't have to move, my daughters would still be enrolled.Ms Nadia and The staff are truly remarkable. Their passion for childcare is evident in every interaction, and their dedication to creating a warm and supportive environment is unparalleled. The teachers go above and beyond to ensure that each child feels loved, valued, and safe. It's not just a daycare; it's a second home for our children. Some standout features of The Kensington school are the thoughtfully designed curriculum and carefully thought out nutritional meals. The program seamlessly combines learning and play, fostering both cognitive, social development and healthy eating habits. Our daughters have not only thrived academically but have also formed precious friendships with their peers.Overall, our family has been incredibly fortunate to be a part of the Kensington community. The genuine care and dedication of the staff, coupled with the enriching curriculum are evident in my children. Our daughters have flourished under their care, and as parents, we couldn't be more grateful for the positive impact the Kensington School has had on our family. We truly loved Kensington and my heart breaks that we had to move.

The owner is so rude and dismissive. If you love your own peace DO NOT bring your children here.

I cannot express my admiration enough for The Kensington School. If we hadn't relocated, we would still be there. We've tried several other schools, but none can compare to the exceptional experience we had at The Kensington School. The extensive waitlist is a testament to its outstanding reputation. The teachers are not only nurturing and caring but also genuinely invested in their students' well-being. They consistently engage with the children, keeping them involved and excited about learning. Our child looked forward to school every day and cherished every teacher in each class. The educational impact was evident when he interacted with peers of the same age. If I could, I would gladly give them 10 stars! We miss everyone at the school!

Unprofessional, divulges private information, and shows favoritism.Edit: Long story short, I used to work for them. Since, I’ve been a certified Special Education and 4-8 Core Content teacher for 6 years. I was threatened for my paycheck after quitting & posting this after witnessing the illegal unfairness that Ive seen my fellow coworkers experience. I was never fired nor let go. Because of this review, my check was withheld until I screenshot-ed Texas law. NEVER caused trouble since & this was 7 years ago, but the situation was beyond anything I’ve ever gone through to not speak upon. I worked hard there and I also stand up for what’s right, always.
