“It's so much less expensive going to get milk, bread and eggs among other things at Dollar General then the grocery stores. Dollar General is so conveniently located in my neighborhood and where else can you get a gallon of fresh Hygeia milk for $2.50? Their milk is so fresh because they sell so much of it that it's constantly turning over!”

“I am a regular customer and had a gift card that never worked at any of the stores in Harlingen. Every time I went cashiers would apologize but were not able to help me. Today YVONNE put in the card manually and fixed the problem in a quick and professional way. She saved the day and saved me from throwing away my card. She’s very smart and professional. “The woman in front, Elizabeth, was very sweet and attentive not just to me and my husband but to the other customers as well. There was, however, a very rude customer that was giving her and, quite frankly, everyone else in the facility a difficult time. She was an old lady wearing a pink shirt who looked and acted like she was on drugs. Elizabeth honestly handled the situation very well and spoke in a very professional manner the whole time. Not once did she speak over her, which the old lady claimed Elizabeth was doing even though the old lady was actually the one cutting her off. Elizabeth should absolutely NOT get in trouble for whatever that old lady dares to lie about her. Elizabeth deserves a 5 star rating for handling that situation and a raise!”
“I don't know how people can give it anything under 5 stars. Look, its a DG in the middle of Nowhere, if you are in a rush for some reason, I wouldn't imagine youd stand there and EXPECT a person just to appear if you arent saying/doing anything. Yes there is a bell in the front. No I have never needed it, or heard it rung. This store is packed with necessities, all the way to things you didnt know you might need. The App is especially useful to see if something is in stock before going. Great place, friendly staff. Give it a try.”

“Typical dollar store. Somewhat messy on the aisles since they had carts of merchandise that had not been put on the shelves yet. That made it difficult to navigate the store. Everything else was good. They had what I needed and that was good since I didn't have to make another stop somewhere else. Overall, I will return.”
