Had a great experience with Melanie, an awesome dog trainer! She’s very experienced and has a lot of knowledge. I can tell she truly loves and cares for pets.

Buyer beware. If you purchase a Petsmart service (Dog Training) from another store online in another City, and you need to refund the service due to a schedule conflict for example, Petsmart will try and force you to go to the store where the service was purchased. Even if your 5 hrs away one way. This situation happened to us and we were told the purchase could be returned at the local store. This store refused to help and the assistant Manger and store Manager Alicia and Keri absolutely difficult and no help. Store 3086 was extremely helpful but was having issues helping due to this ridiculous service purchase protocol. The problem still has not been solved and we've been passed around to customer care, corporate, service departments ect... I would not recommend purchasing a service as a gift in another city.

Ms. Melanie has helped me the last 3 times I’ve come in. Once for my bearded dragon, then my snake, and today with my Dog. She’s sweet, knowledgeable, personable, and willing to look up things up for me when unsure. Her attitude towards her work is refreshing to see. I will definitely keep coming to the Roanoke Petsmart because of her! Thank you Ms. Melanie you’re a gem of an employee!

The groomers did not listen to my request not to put my dog in the dryer. They did and then charged me extra for his bad behavior in the dryer. Dog was scared to death. They don't listen.

I ran in to grab an Oxbow Timothy Hay Hut for our bunnies - they are in super high demand in our house and often out of stock elsewhere. I found what I needed quickly and the cashier gave me the online price over the shelf price (with proof of sale) which was much appreciated. She was also lovely enough to bag them up to cover them from the rain and put my cart back since my hands were full. This is a small PS but they had just what I needed, the store was clean and organized and the staff was friendly!

The store has a smaller footprint and seems to be lacking in choices. Couldn't find a medium sized dog bed or a slip loop leash when we were in. The staff was friendly.

I took my rescued/adopted dog to training with Petsmart's trainer, Melanie. I was probably as nervous as my timid dog, but soft-spoken Melanie is a "dog whisperer" :-)Melanie made each session valuable with easy instructions and tips to practice at home! What a great experience with such a kind, experienced, and full-of-information trainer! Audi and I will be back for another session.
