Bait and switch. This place reserved me a mid-size car, then called me as I was on my way there to tell me they didn't have it and that for an extra 200 bucks they'd rent me an SUV.Go to Enterprise across the street. They're cheaper anyway

If I could give zero stars I would. The vehicle I received had an overwhelming smoke oder. It attached itself to my clothes, my children, my work equipment. It was very unprofessional. When I returned it early, I received no questions or comments about why I was returning it two weeks early. It was the worst rental experience I have ever had. I also got charged $10.00 a gallon for gas, as if I wasn't completely inconvenienced by having to return a car that shouldn't have been rented in the first place. I would have never taken that car if I wasn't in great need of it at the time. I also had to pick up the car later than my appointment time because they didn't have one available for me. (Which is understandable) But at least give me a car that isn't uncomfortable to drive in and not try to mask it with car fresheners.

I love this Avis - they always take car of me right, quickly as well!Specifically though, I have to shout out Paula! She is simply the best; always attentive, kind, and has even upgraded my ride before thanks to our corporate membership! Will always use Avis, this branch, and will always hope for Paula when I go.Thank you!

Had a great experience with this location. The girl I dealt with was very courteous and very helpful, the car I rented in Louisiana broke down and I needed another car and she helped get me exchanged into another one. The roadside I was told to call was not helpful at all.

I'm sitting here reading the bad reviews. It's obvious you DID NOT READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS before you either; pre-paid for your rental and kept it for 7 hours and complain you didn't get your money back. Well too bad for you. Should of read what you were doing instead of just clicking away. Here I go, I'm saving a whopping $25 to pay now. And the lady who complained about getting charged for damage to her car. Well too bad for you too. I'm sure the sweet girls at the counter told you about the COVERAGE they offer and you DECLINED because you have great insurance or your credit card covers damages. It was your decision to make and you made it. These 1 star comments are about policy set by AVIS or BUDGET and they are free to read on the internet or in the little jacket you get when you rent. If you don't like the policies, put YOUR complaint on the AVIS BUDGET website. The store does not have anything to do with policies and that staff works hard, ten, twelve hours a day to give you a safe, clean, sanitary and disinfected car. But instead, you want to complain about policy or things that are totally out of the stores control. Think before you leave a review. If I could give them 100 stars I would. I read and I understand. It's a rent car. BTW, I am in no way associated with them. I just had to put my say in. Thank you.

Seinfeld said it best, "They know how to take the reservation. They just don't know how to HOLD the reservation."Called me an hour before to tell me they didn't have any cars available and that I should call around and see if any other Avis did. Why didn't she? Who knows.I talked to a woman at another location and she did check around but said the only cars available were at the airport. Okay fine, but I wouldn't be able to keep my same rate. They wanted $100 more!Long story short, I got a deal from Hertz through hotwire that day and paid $20 less than my original reservation.

Quoted me a daily rate for a week at $400.Turned the car in 2 days later and they upped my daily rate so they could still collect their $400This was never disclosed. Manager was rude and abusive.Reported them to Corporate as well as BBBNever Rent From This Location

I understand disappointment may happen, but all I can speak of is my experience. These kind ladies are over-tasked (and I'm sure underpaid), but they get the job do e with little to no help. They are unable to hire anyone to help clean cars, so you'll find them cleaning cars, answering phones (very promptly), and dispensing vehicles for ten+ hours a day. We need to thank them for their service and realize the strain they must be in day in and day out. I am impressed to say the least! Thank you for your help and hard work. Avis/Budget is very blessed to have you!

Gas tank was touching the bottom side of the full mark and was told that they would have to charge $10/gallon for at least 2 gallons. It only took a gallon and a half and is over full. This is not where the tank was when i received the vehicle. $10/gallon... really?

Let's just say that it's still Rockwall and nonindigenous Rockwall people are treated differently. If you can read between the lines, this is still the south, and Rockwall is "old south". My treatment there, as a business professional, and the lines of questioning I have been subject to as a professional arr pretty indicative of the area. I've been living here for eight years and while I would say it's gotten better, the "old businesses" still adhere to their previous principles of societal bias. Especially the two older ladies that work their. As an Avis Platinum preferred member for 24 years they disgust me.

I rented a gray Nissan Altima Sedan and prepaid Wednesday morning and picked the car up Wednesday evening. I was scheduled to have the car rented until 11:00 Am Sunday. I only drove 7 miles and brought the car back Thursday evening and informed the lady working that I have family emergency in Texarkana Arkansas and asked if I could drive the car there and leave it at the Avis rental and she told me I couldn’t. I paid $283.32 to drive 7 miles and they telling me because I prepaid I can not have none of my money refunded but they will give me one free day of rental.That is not in the least bit fare and it’s not how you should conduct business. Please be aware of paying online with your card!

I can honestly say I have never had worse service anywhere for anything until entering this AVIS/Budget Rockwall office. The gentleman had his head down on the desk when we walked in and acted like he was nursing a hangover. He treated us like he was doing us a favor by being there. It did not take long to just leave. On my way out I asked for his name and his bosses name. He said he has no boss and he owns the place. He may own the franchise but AVIS will never get any business from me EVER!
