“My daughter was home from college and suggested we swing by Dollar Tree. I’ll be honest—I don’t usually shop there, but she said it’s one of those places that’s just… fun. So we gave it a shot, and yeah—she was right ?. It turned into a low-key adventure walking the aisles and discovering random things we didn’t know we needed (or wanted).
Now, my only real gripe—and this might just be me being literal—is the name. I kept wondering why not everything was actually a dollar. Maybe that’s how it started, or maybe some items are still priced that way, but I did expect to see more true $1 finds. That said, it didn’t take away from the experience. We grabbed several items that were fun, useful, and felt like solid buys.
I couldn’t even tell you if the prices were better than Walmart or another big store, but honestly, that wasn’t the point. We were enjoying ourselves. The store was clean, the aisles were organized, and it was in a super convenient location. Sometimes that’s all you’re really looking for—a place that’s easy, tidy, and unexpectedly enjoyable.
All in all, it was a good time, and I’d absolutely be open to popping in again the next time my daughter says, “Trust me.”

“Every time I come in this store the manager is hard at work. She always greets me with a smile and ask if I need anything. I don't know how long she hasbeen store but this store is a 100% better that it was five years ago.”

“Quick, easy store to get your stuff and get out. Can be slow sometimes depending on cashier and terminal troubles. Store can be crowded after they receive their delivery trucks. Staff is nice and helpful.”
“So the manager of this store went out of her way to help a senior couple she stayed with them till o got there to tow their car late at night her name is lacy and boy is she sweet ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”
“Sometimes you don't want to shop in a larger store. Family Dollar has been great for picking up small items quickly without having to roam around Walmart for something simple.

“This Dollar General is great, there were ample staff working quickly to get new product on the shelves, the front was well staffed and the line moved quickly, the store is full of product but it is on the shelves, neatly displayed or being stocked in real time. There's great lighting and parking. Lots to choose from in stock.”
“Observed an associate deescalating a neurodivergent meltdown from an overstimulated kiddo and overwhelmed parent and she so beautifully handed that grace over that I couldn't help but hope she'd enter the school system instead. I think I've met most of the staff and they are literally SO KIND. You already know the deals Dollar Tree has so this one's for the crew. Y'ALL ARE RARE AND APPRECIATED ❤️”

“Good cheap little store, it struggles keeping the same employees for long periods of time and has been known to close at random either due to personnel shortages, critter infestations or lack of inventory. When it's open, staffed and stocked it's great!”

“Just the best. My Grandmother went missing from home and we couldn't find her for 4 days. She wondered off and some how managed to walk to Dollar general in Nevada witch is down the street from me. Then some one noticed her and new it was my Grandmother and called me. I got ahold of some employees there and I told them to keep her there tell I made it there. Since I was sad about Grandmother walking out on us I took up drinking. So I was pretty drunk so I had to sober up before I could get there. So when I got there they had her in the closet locked up with a bottle of water. It was SO......great to have her back in my life. Praze tha lord. ? ? ?. High five ? ? ? ?. Same emoji. What do you think about my story? There are three things I've never seen. A UFO, A FAITHFUL HOE, AND A PUSSY WITH A PINK SLIP.”
“This Wylie Dollar General is the best DG I have ever shopped in! I actually live in Lavon but I will never shop at the DG there as it's a total mess and the staff are not friendly. When I go into the Wylie DG I am almost always greeted with a kind and welcoming salutation especially when that Black lady the Store Manager is there. She works so hard! Everytime I am in the store and she's there I see her working and directing her people even to keep the store up to snuff, and if I need anything she's always there to help me. I swear everytime I go in the store I hope she's there in case I need anything because she's always so happy to help me and you just can't find that kind of enthusiasm anymore. Most the staff seam to know what they're doing in store itself and when checking out too. One of the main things I love about the store is that it is very clean and not cluttered and for the most part the shelves are stocked which makes the store much easier to shop than the other DG locations I try and go to, by far. There are times when I go in the store it has only one employee manning the store, and they are working not near the front, but when I come in and an employee is around I always get a greeting. For the most part the staff are customer service oriented. There is a manager lady there (not the store manager) that's not so cool but other than her things in the store are very good. I love this store and like I said I drive from where I live in Lavon just so I can shop at that store and then anytime I'm in Wylie and need something which is all the time. Whatever your doing DG at that store don't change it!”

“Under new and better management. Deliveries are put on the shelves the same day now, instead of sitting in the aisles. Lines move relatively fast. Items are restocked every week and employees are friendly.”

“This dollar tree opened up right down the street and I couldn't be more excited. I've been MANY times and it never disappoints. They have a wide variety of things you wouldn't think would only be a $1.25 and their $5-$7 things are just as great. I moved here a year and a half ago and have bought much needed items that have made my house a home. I am also a DIY person when it comes to home decor, especially for holidays and found that this Dollar Tree has so many different types of things I can and have used. They carry, and this was actually a surprise to me, great snacks I can't find at our local Walmart. Dog treats/outfits, office/school supplies, laundry needs, kitchen utensils, greeting cards, holiday decor, vases, beauty producta that are just as good as the high end products, candles for all occasions and so so much more... You want it, you will most likely find it there. So far, every employee I've interacted with hav been super friendly. The only downside is, I spend more money than I want in there. But at the end of the day, it's worth it.
I love their puzzles, flowers, canvases, ribbons, blank wood boards, large pattern sticker paper, dog outfits, and wall decor I can make my own.”
