Have you ever walked into a place and truly wondered to yourself how it still exists? How its functional at all? How it even earns enough revenue to justify its own existence? This is the vibe you will get at JCPenny Rockwall.
Less of a thrilling department store full of value, and more of a museum of a time long forgotten, a stroll in the quiet rows of this softly lit department store elicits memories of the 90's. Things were simpler there. Things were better then. I loved that time.
But that was decades ago. This shouldn't be here. None of this feels right. In fact, I should escape while I still can.
Perhaps this entire store is a simulation.

JCPenney used to be my favorite place to shop. The prices are ridiculously high
I did purchase a couple of bed pillows that were on sale. More than likely, that was my last trip there, just not worth my time and gas.??

We purchased a mattress on 4/26. Trying to contact the store because we misplaced the receipt and I’d like to contact the carrier etc. We have not been contacted for delivery! Our JCP acct shows the purchase as pending but the item has obviously not shipped. The store phone is BUSY and has been all morning. Would like to speak with a person immediately.

Very disappointed with the customer service we received in the jewelry department. We were supposed to get a call about a wedding ring getting sized and never received the call. The lady supervisor said they called several times but when she told me the number it wasn’t even remotely close to my number. They had already previously called to let me know the ring had arrived to the store so they did have my number correct at some point, I don’t know where they got a new number out of no where. Plus we left an email address as well so they could have communicated via email but never did. Hence, they did not send the wedding ring to get sized. We needed it ready for this week and went to order it with plenty of time, almost a month in advance. I just left the store and the supervisor never even apologized. She had the most stern face with no care for customer satisfaction. I mentioned I would not be returning to the store for any future purchases and she said “You can do what you want”. No care at all, shocking for being a supervisor.

I definitely appreciated CJ from photography in the Rockwall location. He's a very awesome and helpful human being. He legit saved me time, money, and energy. Pretty standard JC Penny. It was clean and had the usual brands. The checkers were very friendly but surprisingly slow. There was a decent line and all three of them were taking their time and having other conversations.

Thank you to Gail and Mary for making me feel like a criminal for wanting to return a handful of jeans without the receipt. From the minute I walked in, it was an automatic, "No, we don't do returns without a receipt. We never do returns without a receipt. It's always been this way."
Mind you, this is what the website says:
"Returns without a receipt may be eligible for a JCPenney Merchandise Return Voucher at the item’s lowest selling price within the last 45 days when accompanied by a valid ID*."
When you click on the exceptions, it has to do with jewelry, mattresses, and delivery fees.
Only once I TOLD them that I know for a fact that they are not following their store policy and I know because I used to work for JCP did they try to "help" me. They said they can give me the 45 day low price as store credit, which I said is fine because they don't fit me, so I can't do anything with them anyway. Gail finally started ringing it up, and it came up in the system. Then Mary said she doesn't even think they sell the jeans I was returning. So again, yet another excuse not to help. They are all Arizona jeans and all have tags. With as much money as I've spent at JCPenney over the last decade+, you'd think I'd receive better customer service. Not only was it irritating, their lack of assisstance was embarrassing - for me as a customer, feeling accused, as well as for them, trying to pull one over on a customer citing "policy".
I will not be returning to this location.

I always find what I need here!! The staff is excellent!!! If you're lucky enough to get Ms. Delores to ring you up, you'll get the best service in the building! Best place to shop in town.

Awful customer service. Do not sale quality clothes. They break and buttons pop off as soon as you get home. They do not care and refuse to exchange.

Never doing this Again
Say you have the item and No don't buy from here curb side pick UP how bout you get your purfume in order before curb side pick up your gonna have alot more mad customers like I am did you have to cancel them all because your not helping or doing ur service not helpful no wonder if they keep having issues
