Concerns Regarding Rental Fee Increase and Notification ProcessDear Life Storage Management,I am writing to express my recent dissatisfaction with the rental fee increase at your Rockwall, TX facility. While I value the services your facility provides, I must bring to your attention the challenges I encountered in receiving timely notification regarding this change.Upon reviewing my recent billing statement, I observed that my rental fee has doubled within the span of a month. Understandably, businesses may need to adjust pricing periodically, but what has caused me considerable concern is the apparent lack of notification regarding this significant change.I acknowledge your claim that a mail notification was sent. However, regrettably, I did not receive any such communication. As a conscientious customer who values transparency, the absence of an alert has not only impacted my budget unexpectedly but has also raised questions about the reliability of the communication process.In situations like these, email communication plays a crucial role in ensuring customers are adequately informed about changes that directly affect them. I request you to kindly review the current notification process to identify any potential gaps or issues. It is in both our interests to maintain a positive customer-business relationship, and transparent communication is paramount in achieving this.I appreciate your attention to this matter and hope for a resolution that not only addresses my current concerns but also helps enhance the overall communication process for the benefit of all your customers.Thank you for your understanding.Sincerely,

Nice and clean facility! Manager was helpful and cordial! My son used to work in his brother's moving business and said that they had clients who used Life Storage facilities and was always nice! Thank You All! The only beef I have is the ad says first month free. That's imo a bad marketing technique & click bait, since, if you DO get that "deal", all remaining months are double in price, so really no deal at all... Just for your record.

This location is amazing! Facility is secure, well lit, and super clean. The staff especially Stori is very friendly and professional. I have had used other Life Storages, but hands down nothing comes close to this specific location. Exceptional service is always provided.

I moved out of my house and needed somewhere to temporarily store my stuff. I got a 10x10 climate controlled unit. Everything was easy from the start. From renting the unit to the automatic payments, from the moving in to accessing my unit, it couldn’t have been a better experience. I definitely recommend Life Storage in Rockwall!

I hesitated to write this review, as there are numerous positive ones that briefly made me question, "Could it be me?" However, my intuition suggests otherwise.My initial encounter with Stori was far from pleasant; she was passive-aggressive and snarky, so I said thank you and left.Unfortunately, there are not many storage options in the vicinity. When I realized I had to return because no one else could accommodate the size I needed, I mentally prepared to tolerate the experience. To my surprise, Stori was unexpectedly friendly, and we engaged in a lengthy conversation about our personal lives.About a month later, I discovered my storage unit was infested with spiders, hardly an ideal situation for a monthly fee of $515. While I initially overlooked it, one day I moved a box and there was black widow with 2 sacs. Although I’ve been in Texas over 20 years and my husband grew up in the swamps of Louisiana, neither of us had ever seen one. I called the office to see what to do. Stormi was overtly condescending, so I just said “Ok, I’ll take care of it” and ended the call.After seeking advice from someone else in the storage industry, I contacted corporate to explore my options, including the possibility of handling the situation independently. (Bombing my own unit) This made its was back to Stormi and I wouldn’t find out until later how much this made her mad.Sometime after this, I was coming to meet someone who was buying a night stand from me. I saw Stori to my right waving me down while I was at the gate. I rolled my window down and greeted her with a smile…that soon left my face when she started yelling at me. “Don’t you see your emails?” “Listen to your voicemails??” (Honestly I rarely do.) So I had no idea what she was talking about. She started telling me that I couldn’t sell things, that it’s against store policy and I’m in violation. I was dumbfounded by the way she was talking to and also what she was saying. Not only did she know why I rented a unit, she had called me previously and asked me to help another guy who rented there. She wanted me to sell his stuff. So to now hear her yelling at me about being in violation was a shock. In hindsight, it seemed like she’d spent all the time since the spider incident to scan the fine print for something to punish me with.Stori's confrontation also extended to the gentleman purchasing the nightstand, creating an embarrassing situation for me. She told him I wasn’t allowed to do this and he had to leave.Upon reviewing the email she referred to when I returned home, I agreed to comply with the policy, despite being unaware of its existence but asked her not to approach me moving forward. I reached out to corporate, highlighting my years of experience using storage facilities for my business(almost 10 years) without encountering such issues.Subsequently, I received an email from Stori asserting that I was NOT in violation of any policy.. talk about whip lash!Despite the numerous 5-star reviews, my experience with Stori has been inconsistent, demonstrating elements of Jekyll and Hyde, passive-aggressiveness, instability, and insincerity. If she is like this with a stranger, I have to believe she treats others poorly as well.I have since moved out. It would have been easier to stay but I just couldn’t deal with her anymore. There should be zero drama in storage. It’s storage lol

Stori went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. It’s refreshing to discover some people still understand what customer service means. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Well done Life Storage!

I rented a space here for a 10 x 25 but because of flooding, I had to get a 10 x 20. Luckily everything barely fit. I worked with the manager, Stori, and she was awesome! Patient, helpful, professional & friendly. I really liked her & her attitude.
