Just adopted a new dog after my sweet dog passed away. The people here are awesome and work hard to help you find the prefect pet. The facility is clean and all dogs are treated well.

The staff were very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. No question of how much they really love each of the cats and dogs they take care of. They do a really great job at screening potential adoption parents.

The second of June, I adopted HoneyLove (shelter name Lexilu). She is a standard poodle, mostly, and a dream of a dog. The shelter had a fast response to my application and the meet/greet question process was thorough. Honey came to be spayed, healthy, and ready for her new home!

Was told they don't uthanise unless an animal is hurt beyond repair. They take care of the animals and are pleasant to be around. Wonderful animals up for adoption.

This place does a wonderful job of rehoming animals. They depend a lot upon community donations and that could be of monetary donations,, old towels, or empty prescription bottles. I’m sure they can also use donations of detergent and bleach, etc.

From the minute we walked in , the staff was very friendly! We had done the application and had been approved . We were looking to adopt two kittens and were able to leave with a brother /sister duo ( Sage and Ginger ) . We followed up 4 weeks later with their spay and neuter ! Everything was communicated to us ! We are loving having new family members in our home ! They make us laugh everyday !

I found my baby (Sir Larry Arnold Sercy) at Legacy Humane Society. Thank God for his foster mom, Linda. She took Larrys very pregnant mom in and he was born a few days later. I saw him on the website and I already knew he was the one. Now here we are- 5 years later- and hes the most special boy living his best life. I love him so much ?

From start to finish, we have been MORE THAN pleased w/the adoption process of our new joy, our cat Missy! Everyone was so helpful, offering additional info, as well as providing all necessary shots and spaying and how to care for Missy. The staff was helpful in every way to make for a successful adoption for us and Missy!

We have adopted a cat and a pup in relatively recent times. The process is good as they vet us as pet owners and even though it can add time and hassle the reasons make complete sense and are solid. Our most recent was a month ago. Her name at the shelter was Terri. We changed it to Blossom. 2 years back we adopted Sam, an older kitty. We named her Meatball and we adore them both!

We adoptable the sweetest boy "Handsome: from this shelter. They were awesome during the whole process. Very thorough. Everyone wanted to make sure that he was a right fit for our family and our other dog in the house. Turns out he is a pretty perfect fit. They sent him home with big bag of all the necessary things he needed, his blanket, a baby that he had in his kennel, plenty of dog food and all the necessary paperwork with all his medical records. We are very thankful for the Rockwall Adoption Center.
