I wanted to donate a few things that were in a plastic tub. I did not want to donate the plastic tub, only the items inside. The woman at the receiving area said she couldn't do that because it was raining. I was standing in the rain, she was standing under the awning and behind her were two empty plastic tubs amongst the other donated items. I did not understand why she couldn't put my items in one of those tubs and leave me with my tub. The younger co- volunteers were more than willing to accommodate my request but the woman was adamant that because it was raining she could not take my donation and give me the plastic tub back. I have worked for years in a place very similar to this one and the first rule is gratitude. I want to support the local community. I want to support people in need without going to Goodwill which is a for-profit organization. To restrict people from donating greatly reduces the profitability of the store and seems ungrateful to me. I'm not sure that I will come back.

Love Helping Hands Thrift Store in Rockwall. However, they are in the process of building a new store, and it does get hectic in the parking lot. Just be patient, and we will have a really nice new store. They make the drop-off procedures pretty easy and have staff to unload your vehicles. The store is very clean and over the years is the best organized I've seen. The staff has been working hard to make sure the store is organized well. They also have the Botique store in a separate building where they offer more upscale finds. I can not wait to see the new buildings and know it will be awesome for the community.

Horrible place to shop! Incompetent manager NO RESTROOM available, so make sure you don’t need to use it. Rude ladies as cashiers. It is ridiculous that a store run by the county of Rockwell called “helping hands” have no restroom. They apparently don’t know the significance of being a helping hand to a diabetic paying customer.

Several times I called to make an appointment fir the clinic went to voicemail gave my name and birthdate , phone and someone would call me back no one did!

Took a uHaul full of my mother's hoarded items out of my house. It was a lot, but they had 4 guys unload the entire moving truck in 2 minutes!!

I'm sorry it's three o'clock, you need to take all the stuff you just spent time and labor loading in to your truck and van and take it somewhere else, we are closed for drop offs.!! Oh and our staff will get mad at you if you ask a question or why.!!I'm sorry, this is a charitable organization? They just don't want to be bothered. I will never take my donated items to them again. 2 on my recommendation scale.
