I am leaving this review not as a client but as a fellow hairstylist. I visited this salon a few weeks after being released from the hospital while searching for a new salon home. I met with the owner, who kindly showed me two available rooms for lease. One of the rooms happened to be across from a stylist I had worked alongside for nearly 10 years, and I was excited about the opportunity to lease there.
The owner provided me with a lease, explained the rent and deposit requirements, and asked me to return the next morning with my signed lease and deposit. I was prepared to move forward, but later that evening I received a message from the owner stating she looked at my Facebook page and saw that I was dealing with health issues and she no longer felt comfortable renting to me. She expressed concern that I might not be able to afford rent because of my health issues that are beyond my control.
I explained that I have been a hairstylist for 20 years, have always paid my booth rent on time, and have successfully balanced my career with my health challenges. Unfortunately, despite my experience and proven track record, I was told that the only way I could lease the space was if I paid three months’ rent upfront. In all of my years in this industry, I have never encountered such a requirement.
I want to be clear that this review is not from the perspective of a salon client, but as a fellow hairstylist. I am extremely disappointed that discrimination based on health concerns was a factor in this decision. There is no guarantee that anyone at some point in life can develop health issues. Professionals with medical conditions still work hard to maintain their careers and deserve to be treated fairly and respectfully.
I hope the owner of this salon learns what discrimination is and will do better in the future.

My daughter came there today. She told the lady what she wanted and then after Melissa Doose cut it , Melissa tried to talk her into liking the hair cut. My daughter did not like her hair cut because she cut it too short. We called and Melissa she said it will grow back. Terrible person and terrible service. Taking advantage of a young girl when you mess up. Don't go here. I would love to here from them on how they would like to fix this, but I do not expect it.

This is the best my hair has looked on a long time.
Today was my first time at this establishment. Irma Silva was terrific beyond words!! She brought my hair back to life and it looks amazing. I had color,cut and style. I didn't know if anyone still knew how to feather hair but she did. She has really good technique. My hair is curly and not many people know how to cut and style so its silky smooth and keeps the length. I love it!! And love her!!
