Stopped by this location at 2 PM and they said they’re booked. The only option is to book online for another day or drop it off and get it till tomorrow. They close at 7 mind you.
A week later, I schedule my appointment two days ahead of time to not run into this issue. I get a call the next morning from that location stating that they’re booked. They rescheduled my appointment for another day after I told them I couldn’t do another day since I work. They basically gave me the same story. Either a different day or get it till the next day.
I can understand wanting to remove some of the load from a heavy work day, but it’s being done at the expense of the customer.

The group at this store will take care of you and do not try to sell you anything that is not needed. Highly recommended. Lee has been taking care of my cars for years.

After a very stressful week following the hurricane, dealing with damage to my vehicle which occurred attempting to get to work at a hospital, trying to make arrangements in between work to have repairs done, places in the area not calling back (likely because some are closed from damages, etc)…. I was relieved to finally get in touch with Firestone this morning. I made my appointment request for 5 this afternoon and was placed on a fairly long hold (~ 15 minutes). The person on the phone finally comes back to say that “yes we can get you in at 5”, making it seem as though while I was on hold she was asking the staff at the shop if they could at least look at my car (though not assuming it to be completed before they close at 7 though). She takes my email to send me a confirmation of my appointment time, which I receive.
After work, I finally take my car in at 5 to find a sign saying that they are closed due to damages from hurricane Beryl. I’m thinking something happened during the day and they had to close and failed to call to let me know I won’t be able to bring my car in today. I am annoyed obviously at that but it was in fact even more annoying than I initially thought. When I call back to tell the person on the phone the situation they tell me that my phone call this morning was with somebody at a corporate office (not somebody at the shop) and that “a lot of shops were affected in the area from the hurricane and have malfunctioning generators”. Okay? So the shop had not been open that day at all? Why does corporate not know what places are closed and what ones aren’t???? And why during that extremely long hold that I was on this morning was the person I spoke with not verifying the closure, but instead sending me a confirmation email of my appointment at a closed location!? Thank goodness I didn’t get it towed as originally was the plan or the tow truck would have had to… I dunno, take me back home?
The impact of the storm has been extremely stressful on this area with many remaining without power going in 5+ days in Texas heat. Because of this, I am very understanding/empathetic of the fact that many businesses will be closed and impacted by this as well. What is absolutely insane and NOT understandable to me is that Firestone would be so unorganized/irresponsible as to make an appointment at a location that they should be aware is closed, just adding to the stress of me and probably others too who have already gone through and are still going through an extremely stressful week. Since my insurance is aware of how utterly disorganized the company has been I hope they second guess considering partnering and giving business to you. Unfortunate that the corporate level should reflect so poorly on an individual location.
Not to be dramatic but REALLY do not appreciate the additional stress at the end of this hell week that will now be continuing into next week. Please don’t count on Firestone in a time of need.

Lee answered the phone before they were even open. Although they were incredibly busy, everyone was very kind and hustled to ensure my car was ready in a timely manner. I really appreciate everything they did for me. I had one flat drove 15 miles down the street and had another flat from a different tire. They fixed both of them and I am forever grateful.
