I took my truck to 288 Complete Auto due to a check engine light. Prior to this, O'Reilly's had diagnosed the issue as a faulty Oil Control Valve (OCV)1. Upon informing 288 Complete Auto of O'Reilly's assessment, they expressed skepticism and recommended a more thorough diagnostic, which I approved.
After a few days, 288 Complete Auto reported multiple issues requiring replacement, totaling approximately $5,000. When I declined due to the unexpected cost, they informed me that they had already disassembled the engine, necessitating new parts for reassembly. My options were limited to either paying for the repairs or towing the disassembled vehicle and settling a $400 invoice.
After three days of negotiations, I reluctantly agreed to an engine replacement costing $6,800. The new engine came with a warranty, which was initially stated as 10,000 miles or 3 years on the invoice. However, I was later informed that this was an error, and the actual warranty coverage is 100,000 miles.
This is not the 1st time they mess up. Tammie at the front desk gave me misinformation regarding cost and when my engine would be delivered. She charged me $450 for service that should have been $75. Thank God the owner caught it.
I took another vehicle because it had water in the rear passenger floor. They said it was coming in from the door and window. I took to the car wash and rode in the car as it when threw the wash. No water came in the car. The leak was from the AC with the car.
it the little thing also, like forgetting to put the updated sticker on window after a oil change.
Please get a 2nd and 3rd opinion. This shop is not right.

The lady at the front desk and Billy were the best. I came in with a flat that I couldn't remove due to not having the key for my lug. They were able to remove it and change my tire out in under 30 minutes. You won't find a more helpful Auto repair shop

288. Auto is remarkable fair pricing they go into in-depth detail about what they’re going to do and what your expectations are. Ms. Tammy is phenomenal. She works great between the customer and the auto technician to get clarity. The whole team works great to make sure that you have dependable, reliable and safe transportation.

Superb, honest, and prompt service from a very dedicated team. I had a tire burst and got the car towed here. Tammy ordered the similar tire to what I have on the Accord and it was all fixed the next day. They ensured there was no need to replace the rim if it’s not damaged (typically very first thing a dealership does is change it all). Also, changed the tire pressure monitoring sensor and only charged me for tire and sensor price. They’re very transparent about everything which I surely admire as it’s tough to find places like these in car service business.Love the 2 dogs hanging around too..

I have nothing but great things to say about this mechanic shop. Starting with the front deck, as I entered through the door I was greeted by a very friendly woman who documented all the information I gave her concerning my vehicle which was issues with my power windows. My truck was ready the same day and communications about my vehicle was discussed prior to work being done. I’m very satisfied with the work that was done and will return in the future for mechanical issues.

Hands down, has to be one of - if not the best automotive service centers I have ever been to. I had an electrical issue with my 4x4 system, and they had it completed within 15 minutes. I will be using them for all my vehicle issues in the future! Thank you for all you did to help me!
