Great ? job, no lights on my car has turned back on! And passed my inspection

Went in for a transmission check but my check engine light had come on during the drive over. I had broken an air hose when changing my throttle body the weekend before (I found out after the fact.) They called and told me my transmission was fine but the mechanic that installed the throttle body left it loose and they would fix it for $170. I declined and drove it home to take a look for myself. When I opened my hood I found that my intake had been removed from the throttle body and the throttle body was so loose I could jiggle it. Stay away from this place, they will create work to be done.

I got my engine code expertly diagnosed and fixed. My catalytic converter was going bad and it needed to be replaced. It is now running perfectly and no more engine code. Well done Matt Wilson and his team there in Round Rock shop.

I called in to AAMCO and spoke with Matt who was very polite and attentive. Once I made it in with my vehicle, the team called me a few hours later and explained what they found. It didn't take all day which was fantastic. Highly recommend.

STAY AWAY.Went there for a check engine light, listened to their recommendation to get my front axle replaced, and their “repairs” left my truck inoperable. I literally turned back on my way home from the shop since they messed up my suspension so badly.When I got back, they tried to tell me “that’s how it was when I brought it in.”, then they went with the excuse that lifted vehicles always have problems when lifted up on platforms and put back down. They refused to fix their mistake and sent me on my way. I had to drive 45mph on the highway just to make it home safely.Currently going through my insurance and exploring options to repair the damage they’ve caused my truck.STAY AWAY. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

Matt and his team are awesome. I had my transmission rebuilt and they did a fantastic job. I had a shifting issue afterwards and thought it was the transmission again. After their diagnosis, they found it was due to a vacuum leak with my air filter causing a lean fuel mixture which in turn caused the shifting issue. Even though this was not a transmission issue, they charge me absolutely nothing. I will be going to them for other services in the future. I highly recommend Matt and his team.

They checked my vehicle and found nothing wrong! They could have tried to upsell me unnecessary repairs but instead they told me everything was well within specs, returned my vehicle, and didn’t charge me a penny! What a great experience I had with Aamco in Round Rock. They had to check a vehicle for me and the diagnosis was good and didn't cost me any repairs. Matt was very courteous and explained in detailed about the service I needed and was upfront about the time it would take to complete the work. I felt he was very honest as my previous experience with other mechanic shops were not good and I was cheated on repairs. I will be taking my vehicles to Aamco going forward and since have referred my sister in law who got her car serviced and referred my son he will be taking his vehicle. I am satisfied with work they do and the charge a reasonable fee.Service: Brakes

Update 09/08/23: I ended up choosing AAMCO Round Rock to rebuild the CVT transmission on my Nissan car. They repaired a few other areas as well. They did a fantastic job and my car runs like it's new. I am very satisfied with having spent my money here instead of at Nissan. My comments in the original post related to customer service and trust are the reasons I made the decision to go with AAMCO Round Rock. I was so pleased with the work that I took my Chevy truck in to have some repairs done in a few different areas. My check engine light is off on my truck now and I have peace of mind that the repairs were done with care. Matt and his team provide excellent customer service, prices, and repairs. There is no doubt I will return to this location to have work done when it is needed. Thank you!Original 08/24/23: This was an experience that a customer would hope for. My CVT transmission is on its last leg. Matt provided clear and precise communication, empathy, pricing, and knowledge - that their competitors often overlook.
