There should really be an option for 0 stars. Chuck Priebe who was in charge of our landscaping service for my modern home ruined absolutely everything. Not only did he overcharge us but put in all the wrong plants and grass ultimately making my house look like a jungle. Everything that I very explicitly stated I wanted my house to look like, was done the opposite way of how I wanted. I cannot mention one thing that was done correctly. Absolute waste of money and time and very unprofessional!Service: Tree planting

I recently used this company for a large landscape job and was very disappointed. I specifically told them that I have a problem with deer eating my plants. First of all they did a very poor job in planting the flowers in front of my house and probably plan at about 1/3 of what actually should have been planted. Within three days they had all been eaten by deer and when I googled what they had planted, they were not deer resistant. I was told after the fact by the supervisor that the nursery did not have any deer resistant plants. He had no answer as to why he planted flowers that he knew the deer would eat. I told him they needed to be replaced and he tried to charge me again for it. I ended up having to replace all of my front landscaping at my expense even after paying him for what he did. After about two months they finally came back and re-planted two very small trees in the front yard and try to charge me a ridiculous amount for that. Bottom line, Communication was terrible and often took several days to get back to me. I am in the landscape industry so I know a little bit about landscaping in this company was very unprofessional and unethical.Service: Tree planting

Two weeks ago, I needed tree trimming and rain-gutter cleaning for one of my rental homes. We made an appointment to do a walk-through so Danny could provide a proper estimate. But he showed up half a day ahead of time, did the walk-through himself and left me a voicemail with the quote. No pictures were taken, so naturally we had no chance to discuss specifics.On the day of the job, I had scheduled his crew to start at 12.30 p.m, and notified my tenant to expect work to begin at that time. He called that day at 11.00 a.m. indicating the job was done! Danny stated that the crew had left and asked me how I would like to pay. Naturally, I refused to pay without a proper walk-through.I reminded him that I had specifically requested to be at the property to oversee the work, ask any questions and compete the walk-through after the job was done; so with some reluctance Danny agreed to be there at 1.30. When I arrived, he told me he had done the walk-through himself and had called a crew member to cut off some leaves from a palm tree that were close to the wall. I hoped that he would do the walk-around of the property with me and address any questions I had. But Danny just waited in his truck while I walked around the home – Danny did not see any point in doing the walk-through with me to ensure that I was happy with the work!I found the rain gutters were not cleaned well. When I brought this up, and tried to show him what I talking about, Danny said “we don’t clean rain gutters, and that this is the best we can do”. And he instructed his crew member to trim the palm tree and went back to his truck. I continued my walk-through feeling like I was charged $100 for rain gutter cleaning and was not satisfied with the work quality. As I further inspected the work, I noted a tree still had branches at 3 feet from the roof, and a crepe myrtle was not trimmed. By the time I was done with my walk-through Danny had drove off from the property already!This really upset me. I called him and asked him to come back. But he refused, and he complained about being busy with other projects. Thus, I paid him the quoted $600 for the tree trimming, ended up not being satisfied with the work.Beware – ensure you do a walk-through, take pictures and discuss specifics. Otherwise, American Arbors rushes through the job and does not address all questions later to ensure customer satisfaction.

Large landscape job on our acreage. Installed approximately 600’ of metal edge with river rock and decomposed granite beds, a raised bed edged in limestone, and over 200 plants. Danny was very accommodating as the job evolved and fair with pricing. He was eager to remedy our one issue without hesitation. Very happy with the end product! We would highly recommend!

Danny came by the day after I requested a quote and we discussed ways to improved my lawn. His ideas really aligned with my vision. I had a quote the next day and work started as soon as weather allowed. They were done in two days and the result was spectacular. I now have curb appeal the is one of the best in the neighborhood.

We needed 4 large trees thinned out. American Arbor came out the day after I contacted them and gave me a free estimate at a fair price. I was impressed by their knowledge and honesty. I took a week to field other quotes and American Arbor never pressured me to make a quick decision. Once I chose American Arbor they came out, did the work, and cleaned up so we'll you couldn't tell they were ever there. The trees look fantastic! The estimate price was exactly what I paid, no questions asked. Highly recommend, and we will be using American Arbor for all of our future tree needs.

The workmanship of the American Arbors Crew is questionable. They did arrive on time. They did accomplish two of the four major tasks but in so doing they damaged my property. They broke some landscape lighting, damaged the low voltage transformer, damaged my coax connection and damaged my masonry pillars. Plus some of their equipment did not wok yet Danny was pitching for additional work. Not so much!!! Never again.
