I greatly appreciate my CU. I've been with Amplify for 30 year and have always been happy with them. Ive bought several vehicles thru Amplify, it was so simple. Customer service has always been great. No fees. Their great.

I needed to get a document notarized quickly. I was able to do that today at the LaFrontera site. Thank you.

Recently joined this credit union and at first I was thinking this is a good move. Went into a branch to get a replacement card which went great atleast I thought. It wasn’t until a couple days later that I went to use my card and it was declined. The guy who processed my replacement and handled a transfer from another bank told me that everything was good to go. Well turns out he never even activated the card even though he told me it was active. Don’t even tell me how to set up my pin. So I’m in the store embarrassed because I didn’t have any of my other bank cards with me. Took me a total 20 minutes to get someone on the phone because the automated system wouldn’t allow me to activate it. Now today 11/24 I’m at an ATM trying to deposit cash and there’s not even an option to do so from the menu. Drove so the way over here for nothing. Guess this ATM doesn’t allow it even though there’s a slot for deposits. Maybe I have to wait until business hours to call someone to have that option added to my account 🤷🏾♂️. Was going to set up direct deposits but now I’m thinking not a good idea. I’ve been with USAA for 17 years and aside from not having a local walk in branch near me they have been great.

COVID hurt a lot of businesses, but it feels like Amplify never recovered. Their service during the pandemic was alternately terrible to non-existent depending on whether a given branch was actually open. Now, almost 2 years after the country put itself back together nothing at Amplify has changed. The "main" location in Austin is the only real bank, with the few other operating locations only open 9-5 M-F. In other words, if you have a job or ANY responsibilities you have to put those things on hold to do any in-person banking. Not a great look for an institution that wants your money.Even then, service is slow when it's available and if you have anything but the most basic requests you're going to the back of the queue. You're directed to the app for almost everything, which has 50/50 chances of being non-functional or slow. There is no report with the staff; most remaining locations only have a few tellers and that's a revolving door since they change staff more than I change socks.Amplify used to be a great Austin gem. They started as a couple IBM employees doing business with their coworkers. But that was a long time ago and the world is a very different place. As a banking establishment they used to be better than most of their peers, but now the opposite is true. Worse still is that any feedback is met with boiler-plate "please give us a call" responses. It honestly seems like they're just going through the motions to keep the lights on.Unfortunately most people aren't interested in being inconvenienced for the sake of enriching shareholders. I've been banking with them for 20 years, but it's hard to recommend them if you have anything but the simplest needs. They aren't the worst financial establishment I've dealt with, but it won't take much for them to claim that crown.

Terrible customer service. Not one employee took the time to call me or keep me updated by email on the outcome after submitting an application for an auto loan, which is the first time I’ve ever been through this new life experience. Definitely felt like just a number with this company. Had a much better customer experience at UFCU and will never recommend Amplify.

They have closed most of their branches and every time I need to go into the bank they are closed for some random reason. I have switched to Austin Telco where the service is and reliability is there.

unfortunately, amplify hates you as a customer. if you have a problem that they could easily help you fix it your credit, they are going to choose your money over you. they aren't there to help you, they are there to exploit you. they could make a simple fix, but they won't, because "reasons." I had a problem with the autopay and it caused a few hiccups and I had some payments that were barely past a month. i asked them if they could do me the courtesy of taking them off, nope. because f you customer, your money is all that matter and we're not here to help you... if you use amplify, just know that these greedy effers aren't going to make the slightest effort to help, unless that means helping drown you, then theyll be glad to hold your head underwater. go to any other bank. ANY OTHER BANK.

The customer service at Amplify Credit Union in general is pathetic. I am not referring to the employees, who are very customer oriented. I am speaking of the availability. What use to be 5 branches to service customers has turned into 2 branches in Austin. None in Cedar Park and Round Rock. Today I had to drive 30 miles round trip from Round Rock to the Pond Springs branch just to get cash for vacation. (and this at $5 a gallon gas). Please don't tell me to use an ATM machine when I want a significant amount of cash in several denominations. Other banks in my area are not closing branches like Amplify. After my vacation I will open accounts with A+ Credit Union and move most of my money there for the convenience of banking face to face when I absolutely need that capability.

I always enjoy my visits to the La Frontera branch. The staff is so friendly, and willing to chat if there are no other customers waiting. Makes for a great experience.
