We utilized a community room for a meeting. It looked like a clean and well organized facility. Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms. Unfortunately the community was not keeping up their end of the bargain ?. So much trash spread on the lawn. I had held th

Not worth the price of joining if you have intentions of participating in the workout classes. There is never enough room for the people who show up wanting to participate.

I have been so pleased in the past with the options and instructors for water aerobics. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is disappointed that the vacant positions for instructors are not filled. I wish I knew what the plan was. Terry is a great instructor and I'm so glad she is willing to cover what she can. I depend on aqua classes to keep me healthy as I cannot do a lot of weight bearing and hard floor exercises. I hope Maria is able to come back and all the current skilled instructors need a raise if that's what it takes to keep them. I enjoy working out with the other participants on our own, but our self-guided workouts are not as comprehensive as the trained instructor. The new young lady is doing a nice job on Tuesday at 9:30.

The staff is very friendly; I enjoy the water aerobic classes; I’ve made many new friends; the facility is well maintained.

Good rec center. I use it for the basketball courts. They’ve had a broken rim since I’ve went there on one of the main hoops that has yet to be fixed. That’s the only reason I give it 4/5Edit. They fixed it. So I’m changing my rating to a 5/5. Best hoops for the 5$ day pass price.

My son loves playing volleyball here. There's a whole lot more activities as well.

Clay Madsen is a great value and good recreation center. I have primarily used it for the weights and pool, although it has a wealth of other activities like hoop ball or Tony Hawk Pro Skater. It is the best cost to exercise ratio.

This place has the worst follow-up. I signed up for tennis lessons with my husband, however leading up to the first day of class my husband was sent off on a month-long business trip. I called the facility to get a refund/credit for the class and the staff member said she would transfer me to the director who handles the classes. I left this so-called director 3 voicemails and 2 physical messages with the front staff for a call back. I finally received a call back 2 days later and she said she would provide a credit for the class and that it would be emailed to us. Well guess what? No email. I guess I'm going to track this person down again. Now about the gym it is lacking in equipment and poorly maintained. The one side of cable machine has been broken for the past month. The free weight station is caked in dirt and debris. The yard outside needs better pest control with pesky mosquitoes everywhere ready for suck your blood and giant cockroaches in the outer perimeter of the facility. I guess you get what you pay for which is very underwhelming at best. Residents be aware.

I really enjoy coming to this gym. Not everything is new and super upcoming but you can definitely get a great workout in and there are plenty of fun activities to do. I tend to take my friends here for racket ball and other things due to the very affordable day pass prices.

Great badminton courts, gym and pool. One disadvantage is that to book courts we have to call. There is no app or website to do that easily.

Got a pretty sick workout here, nothing giving washboard abs and thunder arms, but hey, it could very easily become that if I did work out more, they have the basic necessities, and accoutraments for a gnarly workout.

⭐️The Best deal around! Especially if you buy in January & get 10% off the year! Also if you're over 50yo you qualify as a Senior which saves even more! For one Senior in January for a YEAR is less than most gyms & studios cost for ONE Month!!!CMRC is always doing things to improve. They have nice equipment- lots of treadmills, stationary bikes, steppers, a couple row machines - with a line of nice flat screens in front of these to watch while running or cardio. Lots of lifting machines, Free weights, several old mix & match Kettle Bells, & a few box jumps. They could stand to improve their Very few mats for floor exercises. (Terrible mats). Too small of an area for floor work, stretching, etc.⭐️Nice large multi use gymnasium for Basketball, indoor track around the whole thing that can be split into two full courts, or 4 half courts. Also used for indoor Volleyball & Bootcamps.⭐️A few years New - "The Yard" which is a covered outdoor area with ASTRO turf, a climbing rope, s, Battle Ropes, sleds, etc.⭐️I have used the Indoor pool a lot for lap swimming. YARDS, Not Meter Pool. 25 yards one length. Sad that the windows on the East side used to have the sunrise shining in during morning hours, but now the yard is on that side & blocks the nice view we used to have. (Good & not-so-good because at certain times the sunrise would shine in our eyes if we breathed on that side (I Bilaterally breathe), but so nice having it warm & shine in on the clear pool water! I miss that).⭐️There are Racquetball courts but I have RARELY used those - a long time ago - 15ish yrs ago. Very popular - you usually need a Reservation.⭐️Outside there is now a Covered (cover is new) Lighted Tennis courts.⭐️Skatepark right behind CMRC, but no one to monitor from CMRC, so recommend parents stay with their kids. Or close by - in car or sitting/standing watching.⭐️Also a dirt running path behind CMRC, by SkatePark North that can hook up with Brushy Creek Regional Trail. You only have to run on sidewalk next to traffic on AW Grimes a short (maybe half mile +?) to get to trail going either West (2 different- one older goes to Dog Park & Lake Creek Pool & Park. Newer Westbound trail north of Brushy Creek), or East past Rabb House all the way to Kenney Fort Rd, Kalahari Resort, & BCRT East trail all the way to Joe B Freeman Park along Forest Ridge Dr.
