When looking for a pair of shoes in the store I had to look for them myself, even after asking for help. I had the one sample Birkenstock in my hand. They did help look more than a minute, “must have goten moved around” told “not sure where maybe in clearance you could check there”. So I ordered online for “pick up in store today”. Not there, they did call another store for me and had them hold a pair. When ask if I could use the payment already through my card. No but they can fix that for you. Drive to other store they CANT fix the payment. So just need to pay two times, wait until OTHER DSW store gets the first pair in “shipping” and they can refund it for you. If only H-E-B customer service applied at all retail stores.

I should have listened to my instincts & not have gone in this store. I had left ross purchasing shoes & want more so I checked out this spot. I wasn't in the store for even 10 mins. I was at the clearance area when two employees came on the same row I was on stating to each other they were looking for some shoes. I was kneeling down so I got up to go to the other row to look at shoes. All of a sudden they didn’t find the shoe they were looking for. They briefly followed me to the row I was on. I will not spend my money in places that treat people this way. Mind you they didn’t greet me coming in the store. However, suddenly you are looking for shoes in the same area I am in.

Giving one star because there is not a negative star option. I took in three pairs of shoes I ordered online to return, one of the pairs seemed to be sized incorrectly and I wanted to exchange them. Glen is the Store Manager, he was helping an associate next to him, she looked rather uncomfortable that he was training her. Glen did not greet us or say thanks for waiting because the line was long, in fact he said nothing even after I asked about exchanging a pair of shoes. He said we can order them online, and I asked for the same price and he said no. I asked how much they would be and he said we won’t know until they’re ordered. He was condescending, rude, and not helpful-he lacked in customer service and I genuinely felt bad for the girl having to work next to him. I pulled the shoes up on my app to see how much they were and he said well are you going to the order them with a smirk. I will be tracking down his boss to let the higher ups know just how rude and terrible the situation was. I will not be going back to this store.

My daughters and I were shopping around for shoes when we saw DSW. I was so excited I didn't know there was one there. We went in I found a pair of black loafers and began to try them on when what looked like a manager came over and started to straighten up shoes that didn't need to be straightened while intentionally watching us. I continued with trying on the shoe looking at the shoe in the foot mirror and walking back and forth to see if they were comfortable he continued to watch us sneering and walking around us aimlessly never once at least asking did we need help. My daughters were made to feel really uncomfortable and so was I. Another lady noticed what he was doing who at the time had 4 boxes of shoes ready for purchase she shook her head at him. I put the shoes back and told my girls never spend money at an establishment where your treated this way, the lady over heard me and agreed and went on to put all of her shoes back as well and we all walked out together. I just hate that we were to feel like we didn't belong there. I'm actually a member in their rewards program because I do shop at the one in Austin. This experience put a damper on our mommy daughter day.
