This is by far the best vet I’ve taken my cats to! You can tell that
Dr. Cassens diligently practices evidence based medicine and is up to date on research! She also gave great advice for introducing my new cat to my other cat and now they’re best friends! One of my cats needed some dental work done and their entire team did an excellent job at making sure she was taken care of and keeping me updated. They were also easy to contact with questions and quickly responded to concerns. Definitely recommend!

I cannot recommend Dr. Cassens and the team at Emerald Vet enough. They were able to get us in next day for a very worrying head tilt for one of our young rats. Her treatment was very appropriate and he was mostly better within a few days!
We have been to 2 other exotic vets in the general area, and they are definitely on the lower end of the price spectrum for exotic vets. The team even offered additional support and checked up on him via email.
A final lovely surprise was the letter they sent! Absolutely adorable, my partner loved it. We will definitely be back with all of our pets!

If you have a cat who hates the vet, this is the place to try! Have been going here for a year now and they are fantastic with my anxious kitty. The doctor has helped him lose some lbs and we have a plan to fix his overgrooming. She's super knowledgeable and passionate about cats which can be rare for some vets. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Cannot recommend enough!

What could improve? For one, not taking advantage of people to make money. Also, better communication and informing the owners before doing certain procedures. I am not a vet but a medical professional with understanding of pathophysiology. Brought my dog in with the suspicion of him having an abscess that was caused from an incest bite of some sort. I seen a point of entry. Tell this to the provider, she barely looks at it and says it is dental related. I trust her. She says he needs surgery. Gave me antibiotics and pain meds. We schedule the appt. The cost is between 885-1200. They call me to tell me they were finished with Nabisco and COULD NOT FIND THE ABSCESS IN HIS MOUTH! BUT REMOVED A COUPLE OF HIS BOTTOM FRONT TEETH! They did not call and say hey this is what we found instead would you like to move forward? Nothing. But tells me it's good news and it saved me money. I get there the cost was 800 and some change! I will no longer bring my animals to this place.

Our cat had a sore leg and a severe si 8s I section. They put him on antibiotics, did urine test, they gave him fluids (he was very dehydrated). His leg was just strained and got better in a few days. Sneezing and excess mucus were better in 5 days. He was miserable, but now he's like his old self. The Dr. and staff were very calm with Jack.
They touch base twice after our visit.
I highly recommend Emerald Veterinary service. The facility was clean and inviting.

Placed in the center of Round Rock, it makes travel time manageable. Staff are pet-enthused and professional. "Rusty" is new to the group but finds what he needs with compassion and knowledge.

I recently moved to Round Rock and needed to find a vet for my sweet old lady cat. I just had my first appointment today, the staff were very friendly and informative! My cat was at ease the entire time and we were in and out in no time I look forward to our future Emerald visits!

Dr. Cassens and her staff are amazing !! They all love their jobs, and it shows .The compassion & kindness they show make you feel like family, not a $$$ sign. We love taking our furry kids here for all of our furry kid needs❤️
