I am giving them 3 stars because it used to be great, and I enjoyed banking here. The last several years have been kind of "meh" so it was a 5, now more of a 2 so I gave them a little benefit of the doubt. I wanted a "local" bank when I moved to Round Rock. This location is close to me so I opened 3 accounts with them. I have been banking here for a long time and initially had a great contact I could go to with everything. It was really nice to have relationship with someone inside the bank. Unfortunately she left and I was not introduced to anyone else and am just an account holder now. I get it, I don't have millions of dollars at this bank, but it would be nice to have a first name relationship with someone. The are 2 tellers that are very friendly and helpful, they seem to enjoy working there and it shows in how the act and treat customers. There is one who is not. Maybe he just doesn't have social skills and I have only worked with him via the drive-through (that is all you can do right now). What is most disappointing is they force you to use their debit card to get higher interest rates. I don't use a debit card at all so my account suffers. I always meet the incoming transaction minimum but never the outgoing on the debit card. This frustrates me. The other issue is they do not have drive-through service on Saturdays anymore. This is a huge inconvenience. I really wish they would open up on Saturday mornings again. It is not a bad bank and I prefer the smaller ones, but I no longer get the treatment of the small bank customer I used to get here. I have closed one account, added accounts at a local credit union and done more business with the credit union lately. I will probably keep an account at Independent Bank, but not do much else with them moving forward.

I am always super impressed with Independent banks employees. Every time I call, they are super helpful and go out of their way to assist quickly. Pam, Miriam and Shane are usually the awesome people who help me there.

I think the drive-thru hours have fluctuated over the years but right now (4/2/18) they are M-F 8:30-5:30 (not sure about sat). My wife does 98.6% of the banking so I can't speak with a vast array of knowledge but my dealings with them have been positive.

As we are downsizing...it appears so is Independent Bank, shorter hours not open Saturdays. Customers for last 13 years..good service.

Hands down the worst bank I have ever used. Their ATM is always out of service, the debit card randomly does not work at the most inopportune times and they have no after hours or weekend hotline so hope so hope you don't need your money on the weekends. I have never felt more like my money was being held hostage by my bank. The people are nice and always smile as they list all their excuses for why their systems are broken. Seriously worst bank ever.
