I got my hair done recently with Kelsey and she did an amazing job!! I left feeling great about my new look and very refreshed. She took time to understand exactly what color and look I was wanting and delivered exactly that!! Would highly recommend her and will be back to see her when my hair needs a refresh

Tabby is great! I hadn't had a haircut in almost a year because of how terrible the last one was. Tabby took her time, listened and cut my hair exactly how I had envisioned!!

I came in to appointment not knowing what to expect. I’ve gotten a good haircut here before but since i had my son I hadn’t had a haircut and I felt the need for a change as a new mom.. I left this salon feeling like a million bucks! Sabrina cut and highlighted my hair and I couldn’t be more happier with the results! Not only did she make me look fabulous, she took her time and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. I will 100% be coming back. Thank you ladies for the TLC you show on our hair and the way ya’ll make customers feels at home.
Stylist: Sabrina is so good at what she does. I’ll be coming back just because of her. I love her technique.

Do NOT take your kids with Nana. She was beyond rude. Never greeted us and told my son in a nasty way to sit down in her chair. Asks us what we want and never acknowledged what we asked. We asked nicely if she heard what we said and she proceeds to say “ I hear with my ears I don’t need to look at you” Horrible customer service!

My wife and I had Willow do our hair for our wedding day, and it turned out perfect! She gave us great haircuts and a consult before hand so that the day of everything went smoothly! Even though it was windy and a little rainy our curls held up all day. She was sweet & helpful through the process of helping us pick the styles and products that would work best for what we wanted :)

The salon in JCPenny Roundrock is terrific. It was easy to make appointment online, and they were able to accommodate a change to appointment I requested. Sharry is wonderful but she says all of them are. You won't regret going here.

My advice, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE let Laure cut your hair. I'm not even sure she knows how. She left my hair looking like a mullet. I almost left the salon in tears but thankfully another stylist (Kelsey) was able to make it presentable. O stars for Laure, 5 stars for Kelsey.

Raphael cut my long hair with a comfortable confidence in the style I was looking for. He was great, and I would recommend him to everyone. Now, if I can make it look as good as he did! Lol

Really disappointed in my experience today. I have done partial highlights a few times at JCPenny and trims. Today, I checked out and my bill was way higher than expected because of services that they included and charged without informing me in advance. The total was $180 for partial highlights and a trim because of some treatments they put on my hair without informing me. For that price, I might as well have gone to a nice hair salon.
They should be more forward with the service rates upfront rather than just seeing if they can get away & tag it on to your bill.
My hair turned out great, but unfortunately I do not think it was worth it or representative of $180.
I was looking forward to returning until I unraveled their unprofessionalism and their inability to be upfront with their rates and taking advantage of their customers.
Will never return.

I came in and the front desk all stared at me awkwardly. I waited for half an hour until someone noticed me and started chuckling because I’ve been waiting for so long beyond my appointment time. (I don’t know why that was even funny)
When the hair stylist was done cutting my hair he left me with wet hair without saying anything. He automatically assumed I didn’t pay to get my hair dried.
I told him he was supposed to dry my hair and he asked if I even paid for that (I did).
Like how do you not check what your customer paid for before starting the service?
Weird and unprofessional place. I wouldn’t come here again.

This is going to be a very long review but the short version is this entire process was excruciatingly painful for me and I'm never coming back. The end result of me getting my hair done here was me having a panic attack in the bathroom and a very sore scalp and it's two days after the morning of my appointment. I went to this salon with my mother and we booked appointments with the same stylist at the same time from a recommendation. The stylist asked me what my hair concerns were and what I wanted done. I explained to her that I just wanted my hair shampooed, conditioned, and blow dried. That's it. I told her that I sweat a lot and have since childhood. I didn't want my hair pressed or straightened because I don't like the way I look with super straight flat ironed hair. I like having fluffy afro hair. On top of that when I sweat the hair closest to my scalp reverts to it's curly state. The entire consultation was disappointing to say the least, I've never met this woman a day in my life but through the entire appointment she seemed irritated with everything I said. She went through my hair and said I had too much product in it and my scalp was congested and I needed a detox treatment before my shampoo and that we would do that before the wash and then we'd shampoo and style it and that if this first appointment wasn't to my liking I could book with her again and we could work with what I preferred and go from there. Cool. So she gets a mixture to detox my hair and goes to part/section off my hair. She dragged her parting tool against my scalp and then grabbed either section of my hair and ripped at it to part it. I instantly tensed up and said OW and she said "oh are you tender headed?" and I said yes and she said "well I'll try to be more gentle I'm not trying to traumatize you" and went back to doing the same painful ripping motions. My hair was tangled and it had product in it but it wasn't matted to my head by any means. The ripping through my hair was extremely painful but as a black woman who has had traumatic hair experiences in the past I didn't want to start complaining so I just sat through it squeezing my hands together waiting for it to be over. At the shampoo bowl I thought this is the relaxing part where my scalp gets a gentle massage, we'll add conditioner and detangle and the pain would stop. We get to the washing process and it is more pain on top of pain, there was no massaging with the pads of her fingers she was scratching my scalp with her nails. At one point during the shampoo she asked me what my sign was I misunderstood and thought she asked if I was okay and I said "no this is really painful" and she repeated the question asking my sign and I said "I'm a libra" and she said "ugh well I guess I'm done speaking to you for the rest of the appointment" After the conditioning process she held up a few strands of wet hair and asked if I had the covid vaccine and booster. I said yes and she said that's why my hair came out in the bowl like this because the vaccine and booster cause hair loss. She then told me to go sit in the styling chair and proceeded to go back to the same ripping processes to part and section my hair. There was no detangling done and it was still really painful. She had a blow dryer with no attachment on it pressed up against my hair and grabbed at it with a paddle brush with missing bristles and just raked it through my hair. So again we're just ripping through my hair only now there's heat being added with a blow dryer pressed against it. When she was done blow drying it she went to straighten it with a flat iron when I said I didn't want my hair pressed in the beginning. I should've said stop but I didn't I just sat there worn out from the pain. She began to ask questions and make inappropriate comments about my illness and the medication I take asking if there was something else I could take because of the effects it h

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCEI recently used haircut services at JCPenney salon in Round Rock and had the most awful experience of my life. I had booked an appointment with Christopher, one of the senior hairstylists at the salon expecting satisfactory services based on the experience and $55 charge that I was to pay. I was planning to donate my hair for cancer patients and had made the stylist aware of this before hand. There is nothing fancy that needs to be done to meet this need, however he failed to do this and ended up cutting my hair so unevenly that I had to give up more than expected hair length to salvage it. The worst part was that he did not have the courtesy to even communicate to me his mistake or confront me and just told me that the job was done. This is definitely a very dissatisfying and an insulting experience.I was not charged for this service as a compensation by the salon and helped by another stylist but the overall experience was horrible and would never come back to this place or advise anybody. The charges are not cheap and the level of service that is provided is not comparable with it at all!
