This has been the worst experience that I’ve had with a loan company. I’ve had a previous loan with another company, and I should’ve just stuck with them. I only applied here after receiving various letters in the mail, emails, and a pre-approval on Experian and credit karma. After finally applying, I got an approval online and then received a message to schedule a phone appointment. When I tried to schedule there was no availability all the way through January so I called the next day which was a Friday. I was told that my agent would not be back in the office until Monday so I asked if I would be able to speak to someone else, and was told that that was my assigned agent so I had to wait. I called back later after deciding that I was just going to cancel the whole thing and was told that I had been reassigned and would receive a call in about 30 minutes which I did. The lady I spoke with was very polite which is the one good thing I can say. After speaking with her for about 30 minutes I was told that I needed to upload some documents through a link that she would send. I waited a few hours before calling back because I didn’t get the link. The lady I spoke with told me she got tied up and forgot to send it which was not even a problem for me. Since I didn’t receive the link until shortly before their closing on Friday evening I submitted my documents Monday morning, and as of right now I have yet to speak with anyone although I have called them 3 times now. Each time I’m told my agent is busy and will call me back to which I have not received a call back yet. So, I say all of this to say that if you have an emergency and need your loan with any kind of urgency do not use this company. *Update - Now every time that I call I get put on hold without even speaking to a person. Calling their corporate number isn’t any better. I called once and got hung up on and the second time I was estimated to be on hold for 33 minutes. I have now been on hold for 59 minutes and counting. The really ridiculous part is that I’ve submitted everything they have asked me for and I just need to know the final outcome. Absolutely do not waste your time with this company unless you have days to kill. At this point I feel like they just stole my information.

Was approved online and told I need to do a 15min phone call to finalize the loan. Scheduled a call for 4pm, the lady calls me at 10am wanting to do it then. After telling her I didn’t have time currently because I was at work and that I scheduled a call at 4. She then told me 4 wasn’t going to work for her because she had another appt, and to call back when I had some time. Now after calling her back three times across two days she won’t return my calls. It’s just silly why have me schedule a call if your employees are going to call when it’s convenient for them and not for the customer. Unprofessional and silly save your time look elsewhere.

Mrs Kris was so helpful and kind with not just my first loan approval but second approval as well. She made our loan easy and gave us a great deal. I've been a customer with one main since the early 2000's. Thank you again for great customer service ?

I have had a loan with OneMain for a number of years. Have paid off and have taken other loans over the years.I recently refinanced my existing loan and had issues. Starting with a branch rep that told me he was sending an email with details and that we would close the following day at 4pm. After not hearing from him the next day and not receiving any email, I called. Will told me "I have you down for tomorrow ". Then totally blew me off and disconnected call. I waited the next day for the call so we could close. 4pm came and went with no call. Will decided to call a different number at 1pm and just state "It's OneMain". That was Friday. On Monday I called and spoke with another rep and made clear that if I had to work with Will to finish this loan, to just forget it. Not dealing with an unprofessional individual, can take my business anyplace.We closed, but for pushing your "Freshstart", using same info and same terms, is a joke. You made me jump thru hoops and submit additional documentation above what is necessary. There is no reason you need a copy of my bank statement to rewrite a loan.

Everyone I dealt with was very friendly and helpful hereI am so Grateful to have a loan to pay off and close four credit card accounts and I have paid down even moreIt made all the difference for me since I was certainly struggling to deal with rising costs for expensesIt seems to be helpful to talk to someone here instead of doing any loan application over the internet
