Let me start by saying that I used to work for PetSmart, and the groomers at my old location are fantastic. They groomed my puppy for her first-ever groom, and while they did mention she was super wiggly, they took their time and were patient with her and my older dog.
The groomers at this location, however, clearly lack that patience, which is really disappointing.
If your dogs tend to be wiggly during grooming, I’d recommend avoiding this location. I recently took my two dogs there, and the first red flag was them trying to charge me an extra $20 per dog in additional fees. I didn’t want to make a fuss since I hate being that kind of customer, so I just let it go and even reassured them that I didn’t expect a flawless, high-end groom. But I also didn’t expect them to completely butcher my puppy’s haircut.
They never called to inform me they were struggling—just one call saying my dogs were “done.” When I arrived, my puppy looked like an absolute mess. The way the groomers spoke to me felt like they were trying to be sympathetic, but at the same time, they clearly just wanted me out of there. If anything, it felt like my dog being fidgety was more of an inconvenience to them than anything else. Not once did they apologize or offer a discount for the unfinished work. Instead, they told me to “work on my puppy” at home and bring her back within 2 weeks so they could finish the groom for free—but I had to pay in full upfront.
I wasn’t comfortable with that, considering the groom wasn’t actually finished. When I brought it up, the salon leader tried to argue that they had already done more than they should have, that my puppy was a “hazard,” and that they were lucky to have gotten “that far” with her groom. According to them, leaving her unfinished was not their fault. As someone who worked in the pet care industry, especially with the same company, I understand that. What really baffles me, though, is how they handled the situation and tried to justify charging me for the full groom anyway.
When I kept pushing for a discount because I didn’t think it was fair to pay full price for an incomplete job, the salon leader finally offered a refund—but also told me my dogs were now banned. I was already hesitant about bringing them back after all the extra fees at the beginning, but the salon leader’s attitude after that whole interaction really got under my skin lol. I should’ve just waited and taken my dogs to the location I used to work at instead of this one. I ended up spending over $60 on a terrible groom ($140 for both dogs combined) and that’s with the discount applied!

When I visited I was not greeted, spoken to or asked if I needed any assistance (which I did) during my entire visit despite there only being a couple of customers in the store. I eventually found what I was looking for and was helped after I went up front and asked for assistance. I was also not thanked for my purchase. Please work on your staff's customer service skills.

I love this pet store! Especially Ian, he genuinely cares for the animals and his customers. I came in when they were busy and he was so quick to service to get my snails. I respect workers that appear to love their job. Definitely found my home pet store! Thanks Ian!

My 5 star review is specifically for Dr. Myers, who now runs the vet clinic at this Petsmart. She has been my babies' vet for years now and we would never go anywhere else! We followed her to this location because she takes the absolute best care of our babies. We know they are safe in her hands, and she is amazing at communicating and providing detailed information about our babies' issues. 5 stars for Dr. Myers.
