This was my first time using PODs and I will never again. Nor will I recommend them to anyone else. I originally booked PODs to help move my father’s personal items after he suddenly passed away. I had issues every step of the way starting with my first phone call to reserve my cross country move. The first representative assured me that one residential parking lot space was plenty of room for the drivers, even after I questioned him. It was not, which is now quite obvious, resulting in a delay of a day and scrambling to get a city permit for the street. He had also told me the unit would be delivered to my final destination seven days from pickup. This was also incorrect. PODs requires you to schedule the transit, delivery and pickup days which no one told me on my first two phone calls. I only found out about this after calling to check in on the container and see where it was. This resulted in my unit being scheduled for transit a week late. The original associate had clearly not been trained property, yes PODs did not accept responsibility for the stress, delay, and extra last-minute charges this caused. They also never tried to remedy the situation. I opened two expedited cases with the company due to all of their miscommunication and spoke to a supervisor, and did not receive a follow up or email either time. The social media person responded to a review I left after my experience, and was also completely unhelpful.
I have never been so disappointed in a company, especially for the price I’ve paid. I would have rather rented a U-Haul and driven across the country if I had known.

Do not use PODS Moving & Storage, they will not honor the terms of your contract, they will increase your rate and add arbitrary fees.
The customer service will completely disregard the signed contracts, their own literature and will lock your account.
My belongings have been held hostage, and then sold at auction for pennies, while the customer service reps never offered a payment plan or any substantive investigation as to how the my monthly rate doubled.
Beware, these people are scammers. If you would like your belongings, use another company.

Michael showed up promptly and expertly navigated the POD into my difficult driveway. He was very professional, friendly, helpful and offered great advice on how to load my container.

On time delivery and a merry soul in Michael. He did an excellent job of getting the POD where it could go. Michael was a Pro all the way. I really appreciate his efforts.
The pickup driver, Aaron Scott was also spectacular. Great fun watching both gentlemen maneuver their POD transport. Thank both of them for me.

Using PODS for shipping my furniture and personal belongings from California to Texas was amazingly seamless. They arrived prompts promised, very professional, thorough, came with a flatbed truck and the PODzilla which picked up the container and loaded to the truck. It took all but 15 minutes. Efficient and all 4 drivers between the POD drop off, pickup in Ca and the same in Texas. It’s really cool to watch. They were not the cheapest option but we are very satisfied and highly recommend their services. You can even schedule to “visit” your POD if you’re not ready for your POD delivery.

In moving to another state PODS was the best choice for us. Very communicative and pricing was great! Would definitely use them again!
