This is my first time using movers, and I recommend this company to my family and friends. Guys that came out were super careful with all of my things and professional.They put all my things where I requested with no issues and worked fast. 10/10 recommend

One bedroom, first floor move with minimal furniture, not even a couch. Took 3 guys over 3 hours and cost me $775. You be the judge. There were scratches on the wood floor from moving one piece and didn't even get an apology. Moved 8/19/23

My experience with The Official Moving Company was nothing short of a nightmare. I used their packing and moving services in September of 2020 and I was stunned by lack of care displayed towards my belongings as we moved into a storage unit. I had initially planned to use their services again to move into a new home, but after the horrendous experience I had, I decided to seek an alternative. Now that I am settled in a new place, I have had time to assess the full extent of the damage.Not only did this company damage several of my items during the move, but they also reused old, low-quality boxes that required excessive use of tape (see pics - This added to the time and materials cost. Note the two shades of tape on the reused boxes along with the water damaged). Also, by reusing old boxes with labels already on them, no one knew where to unpack things (see pics - This is how I ended up with boxes tagged for both the master closet and the kitchen!). This was incredibly frustrating and made the already tiring task of unpacking that much more difficult.Prior to posting this review, I reached out to the company in hopes of finding a resolution. They provided no support or help whatsoever. It was as if they didn't care about the damage they had caused to my property or the inconvenience they had put me through.I hope that this company takes steps to address these concerns and improve their services so that no one has to go through the same ordeal. That said, I would strongly advise anyone considering this company's moving services to look elsewhere for a more reliable and professional option.

They came in and moved everything as efficient as possible. Moving two houses into one in around 3 hours was great. Also, they cover your items and secure them. Nothing was broken when it arrived. They disassemble and reassemble couches. I had no idea how they figured it out but they did. The price is reasonable because you’re getting quality work. Hiring movers is a must and I recommend these guys highly.

We moved out of a house into a 3rd floor unit. A lot of heavy furniture etc. Our team moved incredibly fast but with great care. Communicated the entire time and never once complained about how tough of a move it was. Hard works, extremely polite and efficient. Super happy with how things went. Will be back!

Ok, let's start with the bad...(I gave 5 stars, how could it be bad? ... well they overdelivered in a major way) The guys were an hour and a half late because the 3rd mover no showed (not their fault), but they offered me a discount for the wait and the lighter crew. Then BAM! I was shocked that these guys loaded up a 10x10 storage unit, a garage full of boxes, and unloaded in my house in 2 hours flat. Just incredible. Well done. Was it cheap? No. Was it worth every penny? Definitely.

Do not use these people. Edis, the owner, is an unprofessional idiot. I called to schedule a move about a week in advance for a noon-2 arrival window. He asks on the phone if I can do it earlier (after he's already offered the noon slot). I say no, I'll be traveling to the house from another location; let's keep it at noon. He calls me a couple of days later to ask if I can move it up earlier again and "confirms" the wrong day. I once again, say "no", but also, hold on, you've got the wrong date there. He says "I don't think so" and then proceeds to fumble around. Then finally goes "oh wait you're right about the day. Sorry. See you then." Okay....He then calls back the morning of the move around 7am and asks AGAIN if I can meet them earlier. Jesus Christ. I say NO! And he says "ok, see you at 10 then as scheduled." Welp buddy, once again, that's not when I'm scheduled and now I'm assuming you just can't read your own notes or something.At this point I just assume he's an admin/scheduler who doesn't have any software to help him out and sucks at making phone calls. (Was shocked to later learn he's the owner) I'm annoyed, but still keep the appointment.After getting to the house and waiting around, I get a call at 3:30 letting me know they'll be another hour. They basically let me know in so many words that they scheduled another appointment at the same time as mine because I wouldn't do an earlier slot, and sorry, but now they're coming from south Austin and traffic is bad. At this point I call Edis back, very irritated at the experience I've had so far. He seems disinterested and unbothered. At that point I told him to cancel. These people are not good at this. I have to assume that if you can't make or keep up with a basic appointment, I can't have any confidence in your ability to actually complete a job. 0 stars. Find a new face of the company, yall. Edis isn't it. He shouldn't be interacting with anyone.

I am not a yelper. I work in the service industry, i work and take care of people for a living so I understand.I am so frustrated from this moving experience, im writing a freaking yelp review... Okay, i googled "movers near me" i stumbled upon edis at "the official moving company" we talked i jotted down the price $487.50 for 2 hours, 3 movers. This is a one bedroom on the first floor. The only furniture that's a pain was a couch, a dresser, a tv, a chair, and some tubs. Everything was already packed!! The sweet movers (his sons) came at 8:24. Totally fine, they got right to work and started wrapping everything in blankets. I told them "hey guys no need for all that, nothing i own is that important". They said okay, and nailed it. Place was cleared out fast. I felt really good about the movers and they were so polite. We get to the new house. They have to move the 4 pieces of furniture upstairs. I apologize, go and fold all their blankets, move tubs in to the garage, and move stuff upstairs with them. I make them togo ice waters and tip them $200. Remind you, the movers were amazing, and super professional and efficient. So it comes down to bill time, i went 30 min over 2 hours. He charged me $813.39 (4% cc processing fee included which i agreed to) His son called to talk about the bill, bc when i heard the total i was shocked! Edis was so rude on the phone, and i kinda feel like i got robbed. This was not a $1,000 move! I wish the actual movers all the best in life, bc they were sweet boys. Edis, you got me.... but i hope people read this and dont get swindled like i did.

I can't say enough good things about Brandon and Tristian who did my move. They were early. They took good care of my belongings. They were courteous. They were great. Best movers I've ever had! I would highly recommend them!!!Services: Local moving

Great service and friendly staff. Showed up early and worked quickly. However, I was disappointed that a foot to my dining room table was lost in the process, but no major harm there. They wrapped everything before moving and even disassembled and reassembled our furniture when needed. Would definitely use them again.Services: Local moving

Unfortunately they missed the mark by a long shot. Quoted price after walkthrough and actual price were off by $2000. They bill hourly and have no sense of urgency. They didn't get everything and left us with another 2 hours of work. They were late both days. Promises of rebuilding all the furniture went out the door when they took way longer than they expected. Overall very bad experience.
