Stayed here as we were doing a weekend trip to the countryside. Each unit had everything we needed from mugs to some coffee, towels and shampoo, conditioner, etc. The property is easy to find and get to. A 10 minute drive into town where all the shops are. The cows next door were very friendly and our dog loved watching them from the patio. Booking was easy and smooth and definitely will recommend this place for anyone coming to round top in the future.Nearby activities: Antique Stores, Food, Wildlife

ETERNALLY GRATEFUL to Flophouze location. On vacation in an ev, we were running out of juice without an ev charging station for well over 20 miles. I was scared traveling alone with my son after dark. If it weren’t for Flophouze, we’d have been stranded in the middle of nowhere. When we return to visit, I will go there during daylight hours to personally thank them.

Had a great second visit to my favorite home away from home. Absolutely love the tranquility of the place. Whether we’re having our morning coffee on the porch while watching the cows graze, or we’re floating in the heated pool staring at the starry sky…one day here feels like a week of vacation anywhere else - because you can REALLY unplug and sink it all in. Connect with nature. Plus, it’s close to a ton of funky bars and fabulous eateries should you want to turn up!Noteworthy details: Nigel, the concierge, is AMAZING! He stays on top of any issues that may arise. Has great suggestions for entertainment and, as a bonus - he’s hilarious!

We absolutely LOVED our stay here! We booked just to stay in a "shipping container hotel," but discovered an entire culture in the area that is based on the "circular economy" where antiques rule and almost everything is recycled. Visited the giant warehouse onsite of things you can buy that are from all over the world and the country. Matt and Nigel are very friendly and accommodating hosts, and when we left, it felt like we were leaving good friends! The rooms were outfitted with cool artifacts and recycled material, and they have a very upscale vibe. Record player with an outstanding selection of vinyl is available in the room. The backyard pasture and cows added a very relaxed tone for our stay. There is a mini-fridge and microwave if needed and a chemex coffee system, which I loved! We ventured into Round Top, and we're blown away by the shops and boutiques with all things antique or used, as well as artsy items to pick up as well. We also visited La Grange and Busted Oak winery during our stay. One of the best trips we have taken and we promise to return!!

Normally don't give 5 stars. 5 is the ultimate in all aspects. However, when searching for a unique place, out of the way with equally unique features this is one of those. Off the beaten path yet within reach of needs. Accommodations were as the site indicated. Really comfortable bed, plenty of room and all the necessary amenities. Large porch with Adirondack chairs that face west, a good thing. Beautiful sunset. The night sky was a carpet of stars until that full super moon arrived. Best of both worlds. Looking to get away and regroup as a couple or family this is a great choice. We had no others so the place was ours except for the random cows and horses that visit. Even with people I would imagine it's still peaceful. We brought food so stayed the entire time. Note, cold snacky foods. Could use the pit to BBQ I think but theu had a burn ban. Round top has eaterys and a short drive to la grange or Fayetteville. It was very relaxing. Back in the fall to enjoy the fire pits, fall sky and that star carpet. Heard stories about seeing satellites. Hopefully .

This is a great concept and well executed! The container houses are artsy and comfortable, the owners are friendly and helpful, and the cows are calming :)

My significant other and myself wanted a little get away to chill and do absolutely nothing. This was not too far from the city, but just far enough to get that break. We grilled, swam, and chilled in the hammock under the stars. The rooms were super cute and cozy. The warehouse had tons of cool antiques to check out! We had such a good time and will definitely be back.

Wow! I've stayed at other tiny house hotels but this one exceeded all my expectations! Cool as a cucumber during the "heat dome" event; Great layout and amenities; Quiet and comfortable! Also: baby cows!

What a great place!! I cannot believe I almost booked a lame hotel when THIS was an option!!I was there for work for four nights and this was such a perfect place to unwind at the end of the day. So many fun touches inside and outside of the container, neat pool setup, and tons of places to sit and take it all in. The cows that roam through daily and the sweet black cat is all the welcoming committee I needed. The cell service was great and the WiFi was enough for two of us to “work from home”. The big grill set up came in handy because we did not know that there are very few places to eat during the week in town. We can’t wait to come back!!!

loved our stay and experience at the flop houze! all of the attention to detail with things that matter!! ie. comfy bed, great water pressure in the shower, nice bath towels, record player & lots of fun literature on things to do/see while in round top. although we were set to stay for two nights and the cancellation policy is quite strict, matt, the owner was more than accommodating to our situation. our neighbors were quite loud and we couldn't even hear them while inside the container. all in all, we wish we could have stayed longer and plan to stay again in the future for the big antique show.

First time at Flophouse SC Hotel. Was on our bucket list and an availability came up and we.were not disappointed. We stayed in Houze 1. Rustic design. Hats off to Matt White. Quiet place to stay. We were welcomed by a quiet herd on cows one morning. I highly recommend. We will return soon.
