Denied me service without even looking at my car. Crazy part is wasn’t even the mechanic

Dropped my car off on a Friday morning. Told them I have a cylinder misfire. Told them I changed all the spark plugs, and the ignition coil for that cylinder. They said they’ll take a look at it. I called Saturday afternoon for an update. They said they’re checking it out. Cool. I didn’t get a call till Monday morning. They left a voicemail saying the mechanic recommends changing the spark plugs with factory plugs and it would cost almost $500. Again, for spark plugs and labor. I took the day off the next day and I went to talk to them in person. The guy said the same thing. $500 for spark plugs and labor. I don’t think it was true. I think they didn’t wanna work on it or mess with my car so they went with the “runaround answer with a high price tag” to either make a lot of money off me or to get me and my car out of there. Held my car for 5 days, barely communicated with me, and tried to screw me over to get me out of there. Called a different mechanic to come to my house and look over my car. He plugged his scanner in and he was getting a lot of error codes. Then nothing at all. Then random codes were popping up for example saying my car was over heating. What he said is that basically, Accelerate not only scanned and reset the check engine light, but they basically disconnected the computer from the car. In dummy terms, they took the computer apart, didn’t put it back together. Or at least the correct way. So anything could have happened if I kept driving the car while not knowing they did that. Cost me $240 dollars to reset and connect the computer back.
I would not trust these people at all. They cost me my time, and $240. They tried to bullshit their way through when I asked questions. I’d rather they had been honest than waste my time. Idk what kind of clientele they have and I wasn’t up to par for their standards or they weren’t gonna make much money off me or what, but I will never be coming back. And I will tell this story to anyone who will listen. I’ve never written a review for anything in my life, but the experience here was so bad, I want other people to see it, and hopefully I can deter anyone to never setting foot on their property.

Terribly unprofessional and very cluttered shop.
Any tech thinking of working at this shop I advise that you don’t. Nothing but aftermarket parts, Jimmy the “manager” does a half hearted job at writing his tickets and ordering parts. And will pick a fight over anything.
And to any customer, please find another shop.
They asked me to delete my review so I added to my experiences.

Ramon at Accelerate Auto Repair is the best. Very polite and will answer all your questions. He also kept me informed on the progress of my vehicle. Matter of fact the truck was completed almost a week before the due date. I live in Rowlett and I like helping out the local businesses. Accelerate Auto is a great place and the work is top notch. I found out they also do maintenance on engines and etc. I sure will be using them.

Accelerate Auto was amazing. We worked with Ramon who kept us up to date and gave us a fair price. He worked with State Farm and saved us some insurance hassle. I will definitely come back if I need any other work on the car ?

First of all I want to clarify that this is my personal experience, I am a real customer fromFAST CARS VEHICLE DEALER, I am not a friend's cousin who hears something. At the workshop I was treated with respect and they always listened to me, even though my truck did not have a warranty, they repaired my reverse camera and sealed an oil leak. I appreciate it. Overall (except for the time they took) my experience was pleasant. I recommend it although you have to be patient, they do their job well. Thank you

These guys are great diagnosed the problem and it wasn't as bad as the other shop had quoted me. Took a little long to get it fixed but you can't rush perfection. I will be bringing my vehicles in for work from now on.Thanks for everything guys

Ramon was absolutely incredible. So honest, through, amazing communication even when there were so hiccups with some timing issues, we felt taken care of and valued. My car looks brand new and I’m so thrilled that we found accelerate! They even gave us a ride all the way back home to McKinney from Rowlett.

Ramone took extremely great care of me. My truck got keyed and after a lot of praying for the right shop, Accelerate auto was the first and last shop I went to. When I say Ramone was heaven sent I mean it. Him and his team took extremely good care of me and did an amazing job re painting my truck, it looks brand new! I’m so thankful for Ramone and his team I will always take my business here and refer my friends and family here!

This experience with this company has been the worst experience of my life. If I could give them a zero or a negative I would. They had my truck for 6 months they put X3 bad motors in my truck. Which they praised the company who was providing the motors that was supposed to be a certified rebuilt motor. After 3 bad motors and months of going back and forth with the warranty company they put in a Jasper motor. Jon stated that the warranty company was going to cover the extra fee for the motor that I wouldn’t have to paid the difference but they wasn’t true. Once putting the 4th motor in I still had to wait for them to figure out why the check engine light was still on. They told me it was the computer and I needed it replaced for the light to go off. I paid additional money to get the check engine light off. Once the piece was put in I was still waiting on someone to call me to let me know if it was okay to pickup my truck. But I had to call Jon and ask when was my truck ready to get picked up. He told me I could come the next day or the day after that. I didn’t want to wait anymore because they had my truck since February and this was a day before September 1st. Once I pick up my truck I didn’t even go 1mile before the check engine light came on. I took it back the shop they stated they forgot to program the computer. How do you forget to program the computer that was the whole reason while I paid for the computer. It took them a minute to get the check engine light off Jon said they programmed the computer and I shouldn’t have anymore issues. I went to the end of the block and the check engine light came back on. So at this point they knew it was a on going issue and they just kept resetting the light. They wanted to bring my truck back so they could figure out the problem after having my truck for 6 months, 4 different motors, 10 thousand dollars in repairs and they still couldn’t fix my truck. I declined the offer because I have been through so much with this shop to still have my truck not be a %100. My business has suffered and lost so much revenue dealing with this company. I have been stressed trying to keep my business running. To still have to pay someone else to do the job they were supposed do for 6 months. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN…Service: Engine repair
