The house was perfect and the grounds were immaculate. We did have trouble finding good trails that weren’t rocky and wouldn’t make our horses sore. Next time we will need boots

TRR is a wonderful getaway. It is kept up beautifully and the trails on property are easy! Trails in the Fairfied Forest are both beautiful and can be challenging. I highly recommend a trail guide. About Train Robber Ranch
We are a vacation rental property situated in Maydelle, Tx. We offer top of the line facilities for your group of friends and your horses to come and stay. We boast ride-in, no gate access to the beautiful Fairchild State Forest. There you can experience diverse riding that includes creek crossings, changes in elevation, amazing views, and shady trails. The ground is soft and almost exclusively rock free so horse shoes will not be necessary. The forest is overseen by the Texas A&M Forest Service so trails are well-kept and drainage is excellent. While the forest does have a day ride parking area, access to our facilities requires reservation. Please call in advance to reserve your dates! You can check availability on our website. Thanks!
