Very racist and biased. The individual that referred me here lives in Greenville, and they allow them to get food every week. Yet when I went, she turned us down immediately and was very rude she even smirked which really hurt my spirit. She said you had to live in Garland or Wiley. We live in Dallas and are in desperate need of food. It does not state that anywhere on their website. And I know of two people who don’t even live in Dallas County who receive assistance from them with no problem. The only difference is the color of our skin.

I’d love to give five stars but the lines are way too long on pantry days and I was just notified that the Christmas assistance registration is already closed and invites only went out to clients that received food in October. So all the other clients that did not come get food in October weren’t even notified that there was a chance to even sign up by coming in October only.

My husband and I have fallen on hard times, and greatly appreciated the help that this food pantry brought us. We both work, and can't even afford food.
However, today we got home to find a crumbled up used napkin inside a bag of limes. That never happened before, and to be honest, neither of us appreciated that. It feels very disrespectful given that we have no other option.

I’ve been going to this pantry every Tuesday since I’ve been unemployed. I’m not ungrateful for the blessing of food but I’ve noticed that most of the time the food is expired, the bananas were black and leaking, avocados were rotten when I cut them open on the same day we got them. At first I had to tell myself be positive this won’t be for forever. Some of the people aren’t very polite, it’s embarrassing enough to have to go each week and then when you get there, most of them just seem irritated. The woman who always asks my name and family size is always so sweet. After passing her it’s over. This past visit I was pulling up later than I normally do and this woman that was helping guide people to the pick up part where they load your car must have thought I couldn’t hear her through the window. There was a guy but I didn’t see his face. He made a comment along the lines that he thought they were finished. She took it to far and said “yeah, right when you think their done here comes another one needing something.” It sounded so cold and rude. He must have thought the same because he didn’t respond back but I clearly heard her exhale in annoyance and she said to me your all loaded rudely so I drove off but wow! I was completely disgusted. People shouldn’t be like that. Especially when you don’t know what their going through and I just happen to be in a very devastating time in my life. I don’t appreciate it. I’m a human, not an animal. You should treat people with kindness.

So thankful for your food pantry. You guys are amazing I will never forget the first time I came to ur food pantry and as I was about to drive away i felt to go ahead and just ask if you guys could help me. Pay day was in 3 days and it’s myself my husband and our 6 children. We were at that moment completely out of something so simple as toilet paper you guys apologized to me saying that you guys don’t provide that then the gentleman says can you give Mr just a moment. The guy that was talking to me walks into the building and comes back out with toilet paper not just any toilet paper the one from there bathroom. I can’t express my gratitude. You guys are a blessing to ur community and I thank you for all you do. May God bless you for the hope and joy you bring our beautiful community.
