Disappointed After Nearly Two Years
After almost two years—and after our child had made friends—they showed us that they do not truly care for the well-being or growth of the kids. It became clear that the environment wasn’t as supportive or enriching as we had hoped. Unfortunately, we didn't do enough research the first time. Going forward, we'll take the time to thoroughly evaluate the next daycare before enrolling our child again.

Please be aware of a sexual assault lawsuit that was caught on camera. The way it was handled is deeply disturbing and extremely shocking. Consider this carefully before signing up your child.

My 2 year old daughter has been at Barnyard since she was 9 mos old. We switched over from a neighboring daycare bc I wasnt happy with the quality of care and the constant teacher turnover. I have been so happy with her teachers and she is thriving here! I love that there isnt a high turnover with the teachers & the quality of care and learning activities in unmatched.

There are so many good things to say about the Baryard. My son (3) and daughter (8) months love going to daycare everyday. My son has a great time with his friends and talks daily about the things he learns from his teachers. He also love splash Fridays in the summer and all the other special events they have through the years. I can not imagine my kids at another place.

We absolutely love this place! 8 years ago we went and visited about 8 daycare centers in the area and By the Barnyard Gate was by far the best. It is the cleanest, has the most activities for kids, and has the nicest people of all the daycare centers we visited. Our son loved it 8 years ago and now our daughter who is almost two loves it as well. We love the fact that most of the same teachers are still there from 8 years ago. That really says a lot. It is wonderful to not have to worry about the safety of your children. It is like a second family.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about By the Barnyard Gate Childcare Center! From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt welcomed and at ease. The staff is incredibly attentive and genuinely caring, always going above and beyond to create a nurturing and engaging environment for the children.
The facility is clean, bright, and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of space for the kids to play and learn. My child has thrived here, developing new skills and making lasting friendships. I’m especially impressed with the variety of activities and educational programs they offer. It’s clear that the team is dedicated to fostering both creativity and curiosity in every child.
Communication is always top-notch; we receive regular updates and feedback, which keeps us informed and involved in our child’s daily experiences. It’s evident that By the Barnyard Gate prioritizes both the well-being of the children and the peace of mind of the parents.
If you’re looking for a childcare center where your child will be cared for with love and respect while also being encouraged to grow and explore, I highly recommend By the Barnyard Gate. It’s truly a gem in our community!

My grandchildren attend Barnyard and my children, now adults, attended Whistlestop. These establishments are family owned, operated, and have been around for decades. The staff, management, and owners are friendly, dedicated, caring, and professional. I highly recommend their services, and know our family is always in good hands at any one of their daycares.

We love By The Barnyard Gate Sachse! My son has been here since the infant room and he loves going to school! They have the sweetest teachers who care so much for the kids and they also do Christian curriculum! My son has grown so much since being at The Barn! There is no other place I would want my son to go!

This is such a wonderful place! The staff makes you feel warm and welcomed. It’s a safe and comfortable environment for our children to play and learn! Don’t look any further this is like a second home

i like and recommend this school my daughter has learned a lot from the program here fun learning and a great teaching and staff group as well . mrs jenesi is also a stand out teacher to me by the way she takes care of the kids as if their were her own !

Jenesi Star is the best/safest possible person you can leave your child with without any worries. She is great at her job and will care for your child like her own.
