“Bought a Palestinian Thobe next door to this shop and decided to stop here to kill some time. This store is awesome. Found some perfect socks for my wife and a amethyst keychain for my daughter .”
“This store is my home away from home. I’m a Finnish expat living in Texas and I love coming here to get small snacks and treats from my country. Such a lovely place with lovely people!”
“I love this local hidden gem. One of my favorite neighborhood/local places to support. It is not hard to find but you won't just pass it. This is a great place for gifts. I buy here for those people who have everything, and they always comment (even years later) how much they love their WRSG products. I love all of the products I have for myself.
It can be a bit overwhelming because there are SOOO many options, but it is easy to navigate the store and learn the layout almost immediately.
This is not a place to find a bargain, but the items are fairly priced
I deducted a star because of the customer service. I appreciate that they don't rush you or constantly ask to help you. On a good day, I would say their staff is aloof. I have had two staff members be pleasant and engaging over the years I have shopped here.
However, my last visit on the morning of 10/5 I had an experience I would classify as "rude and off putting". I made a trip specifically to WRSG for a gift, my usual reason, and when I picked three items I asked the sales person if the 3 items I picked would be enough for a gift box or if I should add a 4th. Product sizes of the items vary. I thought it was a simple questionHer response was, "Gift boxes cost $3". Umm, not an answer to my question. I told her that was fine, then she walked away. No one else was working, so I couldn't ask anyone else. No one else in the store either. So it wasn't like she was too busy to answer my questions. Just seemed not interested in helping me.
When I did checkout, while she was ringing up the items, I told her I wanted the birthday packaging (a sticker and ribbon) that they have displayed. I paid, and then she started building the gift box. I reminded her I wanted the birthday packaging again... she said, "Ribbon is $1". She saw I have a frequent customer account, I didn't balk at almost $40 for 3 items. Why the hell does she keep telling me the prices at random times. I already said that before she finished my sale. Now she has to ring me up for $1.09 for the ribbon separately when I asked for before, and she already had the birthday stickers out, so she heard me. It seemed personal, and 2 weeks later, it's a head scratcher. This had to be the worst customer experience I have had there. If she was uncomfortable selling items to me, she should have another person working. In the past, the salespeople have either been pleasant at the transaction or mildly helpful with my questions. Nothing awful or I wouldn't stop there, FOR YEARS. I pass on their BRANDED items to my closest friends. But, that last experience was not good at all. It will make me rethink my next purchase with WRSG.”
“Super fun little place, it gives you new ideas of how to decorate as well as some fun Gourmet coffees and teas that you can pick out. There are some tools that you probably didn't think you needed, or even existed, but do. It is definitely a fun little shop to walk around and look in and find things that you weren't even looking for to buy. It would be a great place for gifts as well.”
“Kim at Personalized Gallery is amazing! She helped me complete my valentine’s day project by engraving a special quote on a plate that I could easily stick on. Her attention to detail and craftsmanship is top-notch. I highly recommend checking out their store, as they have other personalizable gifts like cutting boards, pocket knives, and so much more! ???”
“I purchased a lovely ring and handmade bag. I feel like there's some of my best purchases I've ever made because I know I'm supporting anti-human trafficking. It's great to own something so high quality and made with love.”
“Wow there is a lot of stuff in here. Like, a lot. It's also very cramped lol. I didn't mind as I enjoyed exploring the selection but there are lots of Egyptian themed things (as well as other pagan statues) to browse through. It can run a bit expensive as the things are from Egypt and the store has weird hours. PLEASE call them to check before going!”
“I’ve finally had time to do this review I Love them. They are the cheapest I have found to have something for school embroidered, they told me it will be 2 weeks. Poor planning on my behalf but then they call me 3 days later to let me know it is ready. Awesome place. Great professionalism by the young lady up front ...I believe her name is Shay.”
“Cute little store in downtown Wylie. They had quite a lot of kitchen type items including spices and seasonings and more. In fact, I bought some miniature spatulas with metal handles that I am always needing. They had gift type items, candles, etc. I stopped by when they had just moved so don't think their full inventory was out just yet. Love downtown Wylie and browsing cute stores so will definitely be back.”
“Very cute gift and candle store. Extensive collection of candles available, but they are high-end brands, so expect to pay accordingly. They also have a good assortment of seasonal and holiday items for the home. Their baby and children's section is also well stocked. A few name brands like El Arroyo and Consuela. Plenty of free parking immediately outside of the store. One star less due to customer service - I've been here several times and haven't been acknowledged until purchasing something. A friendlier staff would be appreciated!”
“I could easily spend $1000 bucks in this place in a short period of time!! There are so many unique items. I have always shopped downtown McKinney for boutique type items, but found SampleHouse when I moved to Allen last year. It smells good, it is well stocked and the staff members are friendly. I like that it is a mom and pop company. Some things are pricey, but the quality you get makes paying a tiny bit more worth it.”

“Everything has always worked as expected as far as wax, tire cleaner, vacuums. Owner clearly takes care of the place. The one in Rockwall by hobby lobby should take notes.”
“I love everything in here, always clean, quiet, and they've always been kind to me! I've bought in-store and order pickup and have never had a problem.”
“I admit I was hesitant to order after reading reviews but I was absolutely thrilled with my purchase. A dear friend had to put her dog down and I wanted to do something for her quickly. I submitted an order for a large arrangement at 2am for pickup by 1pm. Less than 12 hours and it was not just ready on time but I was exactly as pictured. Beautiful arrangement and fruit was fresh. I will 100% order again. God bless this sweet lady doing her best to fill orders all by herself.
I don’t know her personally and have avoided this store for years because of bad reviews. So I felt compelled to let everyone know about my experience. I never leave reviews… but hope others will give this store a chance if you’ve been hesitant too. ?”
“LAURA AND CASSANDRA WAS REALLY SWEET. CASSANDRA IS THE ONE WHO DID MY ORDER. PLEASED MAKE HER TRAIN EVERYONE BECAUSE IF Y’ALL TEAM IS LIKE THIS THEIR IS NO BETTER ATTITUDE TO HAVE. CASSANDRA ROCKS ♥️♥️♥️♥️”
“I love Deb and Deb's oils! She really blew me away with her Tallow Balm. My grandfather had so much dead skin on his head. He has medication for it but in my opinion isn't doing anything. I used the balm and let it sit for a few hours before he took his shower. Nearly cleared it up. Wish I got before and after shots. Her products truly are the best! Long lasting and natural!”
