“I definitely recommend North Texas Charities, a wonderful thrift shop in downtown Roanoke. They have a wide variety of items, including kitchenware, DVDs, housewares, jewelry, and furniture.
The staff is consistently friendly and helpful.
For donations, they offer a drop-off area and can even arrange for the pickup of large items upon approval. I highly recommend stopping by to see their latest arrivals.”
“Great store but Goodwill should be ashamed. The two employees were both amazing but the store was sweltering! They shouldn’t be forced to work in such a hot store. The air conditioning system was broken and they only had two fans to try and keep it cool.”
“I find the cutest stuff here!! Follow them on Instagram and you will always be able to see what the extra discount for the day is. They frequently discount 40% off everything in the store. It is also pretty well organized. I also highly recommend shopping here rather than Goodwill or another chain because you know the profits are going towards supporting women and their children.My only complaint is the fitting rooms are closed. Since you cannot return the clothes, I have frequently put stuff back on the rack because I wasn’t sure if it would fit me.”

“Stopped for ice for my cooler at other end of parkinglot. Didn't really plan, or want, to go inside, but figured we would take a quick peek. The inside is bigger than I thought it would be. The store it set up nicely. Neat. The workers are super friendly and helpful. The prices good, competitive to other resale shops. The merchandise was just as surprising. Good variety, tons of really neat things at really good prices. Name brands. And good sales. Was very pleasantly surprised and glad we decided to stop in. Will definitely be a returning customer! Also, while decent men's ware can be tricky to find at other resale shops. That is not the case here. They HAVE men's clothes! And shoes.. lots name brands, sports apparel, cool graphic tees, athletic wear, hats, dress clothes, jackets, etc. All in really good condition and low priced!”

“Always have great experience dropping of my donations, the staff are so helpful and unload my car. So many time I try to help but they take things from me as I am walking in, they are trained well. As a non-profit it is against policy to cash tip employees at donation centers, but they can accept gift-cards so if a local fast food place is near by, get them one. Happy minimization day to me!!”
“I absolutely love this Goodwill. I have found some of my greatest finds here. The staff are so sweet to my kids and me as well. I've only had one experience that I left feeling unhappy; one of the staff members made fun of my purchases at checkout. Otherwise, it's a great location!”
“Maria and her staff were absolutely PHENOMENAL! We purchased a few furniture items for our business and while we were on the floor contemplating, her staff made sure to check in with us and let us know they were ready to help with whatever we needed. Then Maria came out of the back and talked to us about the furniture pieces and helped us out with buying in bulk because of the condition of some of the items. She was extremely kind and professional and made the sale easy. My only wish is that we could’ve made a bigger sale at her store! We will absolutely be returning on the regular to this store in particular. These people were absolute angels.”
“I just visited this location for the first time a few days ago and I had to let the cashier know that their store is the cleanest and most organized Goodwill I’ve ever been to. I didn’t go to the back area of the store so I can only speak to the front area, but there wasn’t stuff all over the floor and when you looked around everything looked neat and organized. The cashier lady was nice as well. Based off my experience, I would recommend shopping there!”
“Great sales and massive selections. Only downside is store large and it can take several hours if you are looking for new wardrobe, household goods, etc. They have sales listed on screen and you can actually buy shirts, blouses for as low as $1. Carry popular name brands items priced $20 or less.”

“I had a very positive experience at this Goodwill store. The store was clean, well organized, and easy to shop in. The employees were kind, professional, and clearly doing their best to provide good customer service.
Unfortunately, while I was there, I witnessed an uncomfortable situation where a customer was behaving disrespectfully toward a cashier, a woman, making inappropriate comments and creating an unnecessary scene. I recognized this individual ( Yulma ) because they have shown similar behavior in other stores as you can clearly see they on all her reviews, always complaining and causing problems over minor issues.
It’s unfortunate that people like this try to overshadow the hard work of employees. Customers who bring only negativity and leave unfair reviews do not reflect the true experience of this store. The Goodwill staff deserves respect for the patience and professionalism they show every day.
My experience was genuinely positive, and I will continue to support this location. I highly recommend this store and appreciate the great work of its team.”
