We are long time customers of the Herd Gallery. I was recently near Salado and was able to stop by with my grandson. I met Lynn and he helped me pick out a birthday present for my husband. I knew the minute I saw his print of “ A visit from Venus” it was the one. He was so helpful finding the perfect frame and size. I just can’t say enough about the great customer service I received. One of my favorite artists, Mr. Herd passed away before I could meet him. So, made it a point to get to Salado to visit his gallery and meet his son and daughter-in-law. Sweet people, proud of Mr. Herd, and representing his beautiful art so exquisitely. Such beautiful landscapes representing Texas at its best. Just had to purchase an heirloom picture, made especially for me, to have in my home. Will be back to visit with Mr. Herd's creations soon.

What an impressive fine art gallery in Salado! If you love Texas art and bluebonnet and Hill Country paintings, this is a must stop. I'm glad they have affordable options like slates and paintings in addition to expensive ones, whereas other galleries have nothing under a grand.

We have purchased a number of Mr.Herds pieces since settling in Central Texas. His attention to detail as well as his information about where each picture was from geographically is incredible. I absolutely LOVE the Texas landscapes Mr. Herd puts into his paintings and I have many, many of his prints hanging around my home. I always try to stop in and see his newest creations and purchase ones I don't yet have. Also, Mr. Herd is the sweetest, most talented man. I've often told him that if I could paint like him, I wouldn't talk to ANYONE! (because I'd be too good to rub elbows with the normal folk!) If you haven't been, it's worth the drive to Salado to check out his gallery!
