“I normally do my own tax preparation, but this year I had a one-time complicated issue that was beyond my expertise. I went to H&R Block based on their reputation, and was not disppointed. The preparer (Mark Davis) was very knowledgeable and professional. Even though I owe the IRS a considerable amount, I understand how I could have made a complete mess of my return. Preparation fees were reasonable, considering the number of additional forms I required.”
“My husband and I were referred to Able's Income Tax Service & Bookkeeping from a banker at Well's Fargo who could not perform notary services for us on the documents we needed notarized. I called Mr. Abel and he said we could come right over for the notary. He was located less than five minutes away from the bank and his office looked more like a converted house. He was very pleasant and seemed very familiar with the documents we presented for notary. The total bill came to $75, which was slightly higher than the notary services we paid at UPS in Virginia. They charge by the page, and it appears he may charge a flat rate for his services. Perhaps if we use his services again we will ask up front what the charge will be so that there are no surprises.”
